singing along with 110K to songs we all know and love

I gotta go with Big O on this one.

I saw him in Atlanta at Mecedes-Benz.

Most disappointing show I've ever seen.

The first half of the show was okay with "songs we all know and love." The second half were songs he and his son just wrote that nobody had ever heard. Then, he promoted his new $200 per bottle tequila brand in what was basically a 20 minute commercial. Everyone was pissed.

It's the last large venue concert I'll ever go to. All you do is watch the video screens anyway. I can do that at home.

will never understand this. What is the point of even going if you have these seats, other than just saying you were in the building? He’s a fricking mile away and the Jumbotron is even further. The sound is terrible. Might as well be watching on the big screen at home.

People really are stupid.

Taylor is on a whole different level right now.. but if you can watch this and not understand how a concert can be awesome, even at the top.. then Idk what to tell you..

I have been to the Houston Rodeo about 40-50 times in my life.. By far, my worst seats were for Zac Brown about 8 years ago.. way way way up high.. but it was probably the best show I saw.. when they played Bohemian Rhapsody.. and the whole crowd was head banging.. and singing every word.. it will stay with me..

TLDR: Concerts produce moments that are amazing no matter where you are in the venue.. I have seen George Strait up close.. I have seen him far away.. the result isn't much different. Great songs.. not a great show imo.

Is Bob Wells no longer the King in Texas?

First saw George Strait in July, 1984.

Gaw-lee, that was 40 years ago.

The place doesn't even exist anymore. Starplex Dallas before they moved it to Fair Park. It was a big open pasture in North Dallas at the time.

You serious?

Waylon Jennings wrote a song about him.

No one knows who Bob Wells is.

I'm happy that George Strait and not Taylor Swift holds the attendance record.

My Grandparents danced to Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys at the Benjamin Barn Dance.

Bob Wells sounds like a guy that sells insurance, thinks brisket isn't BBQ, and brags about his timeshare on 30A.

I danced to George Strait at the old Purple Sage Dancehall in Uvalde. Paid $2 if I remember correctly.

That’s pretty much how I feel about it.

Whether you like it that type of music or not doesn't really matter..
but do you think those people were having a good time?
My opinion is that yes, most if not all of them, were having a great time.

I'll give you a different example.

I was at ALCS Game 6 between the Astros and Yankees in 2019..
My seats were trash. Way up there.. way down the line..
But when Altuve hit the home run to send the Astros to the World Series..
the place went absolutely banana's.. and at that point, it didn't matter where I was in the stadium..

When there is electricity in the stadium.. it carries from the 1st rows to the last rows.. and so when someone said, they would never understand why anyone would sit way up there.. sometimes it is still worth it..
