Assuming the playoff stays at 12 then playoff appearances every three-ish years with an actual run every five or 6 years. Championship once a decade. Never below 8-4 and you shouldn’t exactly do that often.

I expect for LSU to play tough. I expect for this program to regain the reputation of being the most physical team on our opponents’ schedule. I expect us to compete for national championships and/or be in the playoff conversation at the end of the year.

Since 2000, when the university began to truly invest in the program, this has been the expectation. It hasn’t always been the reality, certainly not since 2020. Prior to 2000, LSU didn’t invest in the program to be elite. It does now. So we should expect that.

I think most LSU fans can agree that we expect the team play tough, physical football and be in the conversation at the end of the year.

With the 12 team playoff, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for LSU to be in 3 of every 5 years and be an actual threat to win it all 2 of those years.

Imho, that has rarely been LSU even in our best teams. LSU's rep is more finesse and execution. I certainly viewed Saban's Bama and Smart's Ga as the more physically imposing of their will and tougher teams than LSU. The years LSU bested those HCs and their teams, LSU though obviously tough, had the better Offense, sophistication, and overall formula for getting the W.

It's been on rare occasions where I had LSU as equal or superior to Bama/Ga in the OL or DL trenches.

Make the playoffs 2 out of 4 years. Be a real threat to go deep at least one of those 4.

Beat Ole Miss and Vandy. BK failed at that this year so he had to go

National Titles. It’s a realistic goal and the right coach could have a dynasty with the talent we have here.

finish in the top 10 every year.

I don't know about that. Maybe 1 time out of 3 years is reasonable.

i like knowing ive lived thru 3 natties when the majority of fans who support their teams year in year out have yet to sniff one.

if every 4-5 years we were in the big game id be happy with that as long as we beat our rivals the majority of the time. embarrassing a few media darlings and overrated programs in big OOC games would be nice too. putting players in the NFL and seeing their continued success is a cherry.

even with the seemingly never-ending ups and downs its nice being us.
