I guarantee you there are way more 4 stars playing for Florida in this game than Oregon State. Vegas had this game as favored by the Beavers by a TD, so even bettors with knowledge of who weren't playing didn't expect this to to be such a blowout.

I remember back in the early 70s when the Gates didn't win a single game. Damn, Jax was fun for Dog fans that year.

My point is playing experience. Anthony Richardson is projected to be the 2nd or 3rd quarterback taken in the draft. This Miller kid hasn’t played.

So is Florida completely screwed next year if their future starters are losing by 30 to Oregon State?
Also I feel extremely bad for the NFL team that ends up with Anthony Richardson.

Recruiting rankings do mean something. But, not everything. Ask A&M, Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, etc. All those teams have a 5 year recruiting average in the top 12. They all struggled this year.
Besides opt-outs, Florida has lost 19 players to the Portal. They’re a shell of the team that started the season. They’re a 6-6 team.
