He's flaming LSU saying we've played bad defenses. Can't blame him - we are their superbowl again this year. Like every year, its all Arky has left to play for.

When you only have to drive the ball from the 50 yard line each possession, it's kind of hard to build up good offensive numbers

Playing the vaunted defenses of Oregon and West Virginia is skewing the stats, brah.

We are scoring like 40 points a game. msu was lucky to make us have to settle for field goals or that probably would have been a high 30 point game as well. awesome stats y'all pluck out.

It's funny because statistically, while we've improved on offense, it hasn't been a drastic increase numberswise, yet just by looking at the product on the field it feels like a drastic improvement. There's just so much more cohesion with both the execution and the feeling of having a legit identity.

From my post on the Rant:

LSU

Scoring Offense: 2nd in SEC, 21st in NCAA
Red Zone Offense: 1st in SEC, 5th in NCAA

Time of Possession: 1st in SEC, 11th in NCAA
Interceptions Thrown: 1st in SEC, (T) 2nd in NCAA
Fumbles Lost: 2nd in SEC, (T) 11th in NCAA
Turnovers Lost: 1st in SEC,, 1st in NCAA
Tackles for Loss Allowed: 1st in SEC, (T) 17th in NCAA
Pass Sacks Allowed: 1st in SEC, (T) 11th in NCAA

That speaks volumes. Just think everyone was blaming Miles and saying he was interferring with the offense. Maybe the little success LSU was having on offense was because of Miles.

This year, LSU has started at their own 31.6 yard line. Based on Bama's average starting field position this year at our own 29.1, 2.5 yards closer to the goal line for LSU is hardly significant.

We're ranked 41st in total yards, LSU is 84th. Go figure.

You haven't watched any LSU football or know absolutely fricking nothing if you think LSU's offense isn't formidable or hasn't improved.

Les is interfering in the play calling. Constantly overriding him.

I know they've improved. From 86th last year to 84th YTD in total offense is quite a leap!

If my math is correct it looks like

2010 - 26 ppg
2011 - 38 ppg

And 2011 has played better competition than the 2010 team had to this point. I would say that's a pretty big improvement.
