It's the nutless bovines that are pissing their panties at the thought of having any manner of competition in their conference that would nuke any such move, even BEFORE we consider whether Arkie would be stupid enough to make that move to begin with.

Dumb... but... Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Mizzou to the Big 12. Texas to the SEC because then we'd just have to wait around for the SEC to self destruct.

A nice boost in football. A good long term boost in basketball and a huge boost in secondary sports. And nobody fricks over the rest of the conference for shites and giggles.

It could work. As long as Texas isn't there then the Big 12 footprint is a viable conference. Until Texas molested the conference the Big 12 was a very solid power conference.

For starters, it doesn't make any sense financially. The Big Twelve is literally considering adding Memphis. Why? Because their entire conference has been ran into the ground by Texas and they simply can't attract anyone with a pulse.

Furthermore, we Arkansans pretty much fricking hate Texas. We shared a conference with them for a long time. They suck. We have seen first hand the epic levels of dipshittery those weirdos down there are capable of. Not just the Longhorns, but the entire goddamn state. It's like France. If you go to France everyone is an a-hole. It's a cultural thing. Same thing in Texas, but while France is pretty and that makes being there palatable, Texas is a gigantic shithole. The older generations here in Arkansas GREW UP hating Texas with all their might and there is no way a move like that would ever be allowed.

This level of vitriol extends to pretty much every school in that state. A&M, TCU, Baylor, Tech, and the damn Horns. Well, also LSU, but for entirely different reasons. They're just a bunch of morons.

Hell if there was a massive realignment that made the big12 a good conference I'd be for it. Wouldn't mind something different for a while

Money talks. bullshite walks. Texas doesn't share revenue equally. It's why the conference has no loyalty to each other. Arkansas would be making about a 8 million (conservative estimate) a year hit to join a conference that is on very shaky ground. The idea that they would leave the SEC is absolutely ludicrous. Maybe 10 years from now this will be different. As it stands now, there is no real reason to leave the SEC.
