Verne Lundquist! Lol. I just heard them say it during the Cal/Oregon game. They're supposed to pick a former player or fan. Guess Bama can't deny why they call it the Crimson Broadcasting System anymore.

I really wish they'd call it the Criminal Broadcasting System so they would show more Auburn games.
Not many Bama fans care for Vern, CBS.........or Auburn

Man, if either one of the three (3) traditional American TV networks was as University of Texas schlonged as is CBS (not to mention ESPN and The SEC N) then I seriously WOULD be building one (or more) bomb(s). I do not know how you Aubies stand it.
I really don't.
I really don't.

Might want to check the arrest records. Auburn has a long way to go to catch up with Tuscaloosa Penitentiary

I have to say, this season's guest pickers have been shite. It's been some obscure rapper, some obscure war hero, some "actor" you haven't heard of, whatever, but I don't even know who these folks are anymore. I don't even pay it attention.
Gameday has gone from an in depth football show to a Saturday morning variety show for non football fans.

Exactly. I'd be mad af if I were a Bama fan. Put Tyron Prothro up there or something. Verne?! Wtf?!! Don't we have to suffer enough while he's calling the game?

Actually, it's the last time Gameday will be at an SEC CBS broadcast before Verne steps down.
It's a pretty nice tribute to a guy with a stellar 50 year career, and classy coming from a network that he's never even worked for.

That would be nice if gameday didn't do this shite every time they're in Tuscaloosa.

Why can't they get Shaun Alexander?

Well to be fair GameDay has done a shitty fricking job picking Alabama former players and fans for years.
They frick us every time they host a broadcast in Tuscaloosa.
Tomorrow is no different.

I'd love to have Shaun, maybe he's too busy, though.
Just googled to see what he's up to these days. He and his wife home school their eight kids. Interesting.

Gene Stallings would have been perfect. He's coached both Alabama and A&M and is universally respected by college football people.
