Ryan Tannehill was a microbiology major. Stephen McGee was a Busness major who had his masters before the end of his last football season. Spencer Nealy is a chemistry major. Three of our current players are engineering majors.
So 6 people out of an entire athletic program?

I actually agree with an aggie. I met Vince Young one time and he was extremely dumb. Heard Jamaal Charles declare to go to UT on television and I could barely understand anything he said. The only thing that I could make out was "state uh Texas."

Gotta at least put them pretty on par after accounting for difficulty/grade inflation

Still... Impressive streak nonetheless... I know several people who go to USCe for their MBA school or the other International Business program... (can't remember official degree track)

I'm not personally touting this achievement nor would I have ever, not ever, posted it to this board ... ESPECIALLY not this fricking board - but - but ...
We've been using the helloutta that stuff when recruiting and it is working. We're getting high character kids who are making good grades and causing us very few problems lately - so I am all for us touting this to prospects and to parents.
You gotta use everything at your disposal to recruit in this league.

Thank you.
And yes, our Honors College and our School of International Business is as good as any in the country so they are the two big ones - although few football players are enrolled in either of those two schools quite a few others are.
Most of the football players are either African-American History, Sports Management or Criminal Justice. I think that would be very comparable to most programs around the SEC in terms of their football playing student-athletes.

Golly. Seriously, golly.
That's even more impressive than never winning an SECCG.
Keep up the splendid work.

I didn't know it was 7 consecutive years. I believe the Dodie Academic Enrichment Center has really paid off for the athletes. That was a solid capital investment.

Yea. South Carolina's rank of best colleges 2013 is 113th. Not known for academics...
Come on bro, no one is mad, just keep it in the right perspective. You REALLY believe that your standards hold up vs. Vandy?
***Vandy accepts 16% of applicants and South Carolina accepts 64%...Also, South Carolina has 4x (almost 5x) the enrollment of Vandy.

How did your chess team do this year?

Its only because if they miss study hall they have to masturbate to Steve Spurrier's workout pics

Well, our infrastructure is about 4-5 times the size of Vandy, so that makes sense. We are a state sponsored school and Vandy is private.

I've only said that Spurrier motivates his players on and off the field...I never said how. It's all in the execution, results are the only thing that matter.

However, I'm a bit skeptical. I thought with a press release in Birmingham they'd find a way to cook the books to favor Alabama.

ITT: Bunch of posters that would post this exact thread topic if their school had a 7 consecutive streak.

"Most of the football players are either African-American History, Sports Management or Criminal Justice"
I guess this just proves that folks are most interested in what they're primarily involved in.

I seem to remember contributing to Greg McElroys first ever loss in his life in 2010.
