That's what I figured

I found this on a Bama forum, from a poster named "BamaRef22"

quote:

Black Warrior, what you are referring to is Offensive Pass Interference (OPI). The term "pick" of "pick play" is not in the rule book. I'm not familiar with NFL rules, but in NCAA, it occurs when an offensive team player, who is beyond the line of scrimmage, makes contact that interferes with a defensive team player. "It is the responsibility of the offensive player to avoid the opponents."

The foul can only occur during a legal forward forward pass play and in which a forward pass crosses the line of scrimmage.

It is a very difficult call, as one responsible for that call at the FBS level. As a deep wing official, I key on the outside receiver and when that type of contact is made, a split second decision must be made as to the intent of that receiver.

Hope the above helps.

For those who don't speak rulebook

Actually no. It wasn't much hotter anywhere else. Just enjoy beating the shite out of us, no need to claim being better at being hot too.

We had a Heat Index of 125 this summer. Top that bitch.

There is a way to play smart early and not burn it all too fast.
I see the SC players playing harder than the Mizzou players and they are not burned out. Maybe it's not as hot as you think in Mizzou.

When you run the spread you can't have your defense on the field more than your offense "ask Auburn".

In the SEC if you can't establish a power run game and sustain long drives mixed in with some screens and play actions and keep the ball from the other team then you're not going to win.

I was exaggerating a little on the 200 degrees and 180% humidity claim.

It didn't rain here for about 40 days. It didn't break under 90 at night for about a month. It was triple digits all july and hot through training camp.

F off. Just take the win, heat has nothing to do with it.

Some of the bad mouthing about how Mizzou will get their arse handed to them in the big boy conference is just ridiculous. You guys act like they dominated in the BIg 12. They were consistently in the middle of the pack in the BIg 12 and could rarely play with the big boys of the conference. Just heard the announcers say that they haven't won a game on the road against a top 10 team in 50+ years. Why would anyone think it would change when they joined the SEC

Fun Fact: I heard fireworks 5 seconds before I saw that play, so I knew they scored
