Not sure how fired up TX will be for this game. We upset them last season and they are coming off a last second loss to a rival but their players see what the Gators look like now. I am guessing we get beat deep a few times as they have some good WRs. Even in last year's upset Wingo was wide open a lot down the field but Manning didn't see it on those plays even when the rush hadn't got him yet. I hope we have a big turnaround but I don't have much confidence it can happen.

Well atleast Texas gets a tuneup to fix their offense. Not sure what we're gonna do there.

I watched a lot of TX this year and that offense definitely isn't clicking good despite having those 2 guys at WR they have. Bad thing is this defense looks custom made to take care of that issue for them this week unless things change. I watched the Skyview feed of the upset last season and many times Wingo got wide open down the field but Manning didn't register it quick enough before the pressure got to him. Many QBs would have lit our defense up in that game with quicker reactions.

Texas always has to lose one to get back to improving their offense. Arch had that run last year towards the end of the season. Expecting a similar run that gets them to the CFP.

I think TX will probably lose 3 but this year a 3 loss team may get in and they have the OSU win out of conference.

Don’t be surprised if this a one score game in the 4th Q.

Very funny Box
This wont be a one score game after the first quarter

This Defense will make Arch manning a Heisman finslist!!! Book it he will have 400 yards and 5 TD's against this defense, they will completely stop the run and Philo Bedo will wet the bed again with his noodle arm

lol.. You may possibly get your wish and Jones may get the start due to Philo having a shoulder injury. My guess is unless WR Brown is back it won't make much difference as Simmons will destroy our tackle without a TE being taken out of use as a receiver. If Brown is able to play I give us some chance to maybe do something on offense regardless of which QB it is unless they just stuff our run game entirely.

More than likely we will find out first hand why Philo was starting ahead of Junes this week. I hope that I am wrong and he has a great game. Go Gators!

Is Brown playing? If not my prediction is it definitely won't matter who is in there.

Negegator!

you never except losing or expect to lose. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

Still don’t expect to lose. Why did you only quote part of my post?
I just don’t expect Jones to play as well as Philo, hope I am wrong.

Looking at this game some more I expect the players to come out and at least put more effort out there but the problem with that is TX is coming off a loss and got beat by us last season so that probably wont be an advantage for us.

The TX offense actually looks very pedestrian except for one game against a G6 conference Texas State. The issue with this is we seem to have an ability in recent years to make struggling QBs and offenses look pretty damn good compared to their previous games and our passing defense looks so bad I think Coleman and Wingo might get pretty wide open down the field a few times this game. Wingo was wide open deep a few times in last year's game but Manning didnt see him quick enough and the pressure got to him.

As far as the TX defense They look pretty stout overall and especially against the run. We all know Muschamp's thing is to always stop the run first. They have mostly bottled up the mobile QBs they have faced also this season not allowing many scrambles for a first down. If we dont get a running game or a ball control passing game going Simmons is going to be a huge issue with our tackles just like the edge at SC was. I dont see Ugorji holding up whatsoever against Simmons.

Just being realistic If Brown doesn't play its hard to see us getting a win in this game despite TX looking pedestrian on offense this season. I just dont think there will be any big surprise comeback in the rushing game as I think Muschamp will make it priority # 1 that Baugh doesnt get going. Maybe with Brown we could get some kind of passing game going to give us a chance but without Brown playing I think that happening good enough to give us a chance in this game would literally be like a fairytale coming true tomorrow.

Cracks me up seeing Gator fans say this, especially with a Heisman statue out front of Danny who wasnt known for hurling the ball 50 yards downfield.

Same.
I hope he does well, but at the same time if the OL plays like they have the past 2 weeks its gonna be a rough day for his first start vs a tough defense

He's just another Graham Mertz and Luke Del Rio. He will never get even close to Danny's stats. We really gotta let the 90s go. Football is played so much differently compared to that era.

Didnt say he would, this offense is more run based.
Im saying we are 6th in the nation in plays over 40 yards, ppl put way to much emphasis on a QB being able to throw 70 yards in order to be successful.

The HOF is full of All Time Greats who didnt have Howitzers attached to their shoulders, and many of those guys ran some of the league's most prolific offenses
