This ain't old school football anymore. Welcome to the modern era of football where throwing it deep is more than likely winning you games. Gone are the days where you surround a game manager with elite talent all over the offense because it's harder to do so in the transfer portal era.

I know but we can't use those games and the stats to justify Philo being the starter next season. I have seen enough in the SEC games. Get rid of him and once you'll see Tramell today, get rid of his arse too.
We need an experienced dual threat deep ball accurate QB. I know easier said than done but we gotta use the NIL money to get us one. Guys like Darian Mensah, Josh Hoover, Austin Simmons, Kenny Minchey, Connor Weigman. Look where they started and look where they are now. It can be done. The GM is just making stupid decisions when it comes to the most important player on this team. Keep recruiting HS QBs like Griffin and Davidson and have them learn from the starter.

I agree Philo or Jones likely aren't QBs that can carry teams when the offense has major issues besides them but with the O line right now any QB would have major issues. I guess if we had a mobile top QB we might win an extra game and not get pummeled as bad when we do lose but this is really bad right now if the running game doesn't magically start producing again or Brown (if he plays) doesn't magically make our passing game effective even with our running game being stuffed. If I am a real good portal QB I am not even considering Florida if I am not convinced the O line issue is taken care of. Ugorji on tape prior to coming here and now that the running game can't cover up his deficiencies literally looks like you took an average FCS level tackle and inserted him into the starting lineup.
