Better.
But still don't see it eclipsing BDS as the far and away best stadium in college football.
Instead of doing a shovel ceremony, once construction begins, y'all should line up the original designers of the stadium and kick them in the nuts.... $500 million for construction!!!

Porker, I'm sorry but did you submit yourself to the new design yet?
Have you given yourself to it? If not, please do so ASAP.
Love,
Aggies.

Looks much, much better than what you currently have. What will capacity be?

I've heard anywhere from 94k to 110k.
Probly just under 100k, I'm thinking, with room for temporary seating and SRO.

Kyle's going to eclipse BDS. This basically shows the facade. The screen in the rendering doesn't reflect the one Kyle will have--the one that's 10 ft. shorter than Jerry World's but about 20 ft. wider. The stadium's amenities will include some unprecedented stuff, and the facade will be in a class of its own.
No disrespect to BDS, an elite stadium to be sure. Kyle's just going to be the standard until something passes it by in a few short years.

Not flaming at all, but the exterior of Kyle Field looks like shite at the moment.
Agreed.

Looks a lot better aesthetically. Not flaming at all, but the exterior of Kyle Field looks like shite at the moment. No character to it. The renovations will dress it up and make it look a lot better. Although those damn tackle box decks are still there.

So I like the tackle box design and am glad it stayed. It's unique and losing it would be akin to just having a new stadium to me and then what was the point of playing through the renovations. I didn't like the photo yesterday much but really like these.

It will hold 104k either in seats or in seats and SRO.

Do the physical copies of these renderings have a 'scratch and sniff' that smells like bat poo?
(Insert 'he called the shite poo')

Is that a pond in Spence Park? Are they going to add that? I haven't been on campus in a few years and I don't recall anything like that. There was a creek near the President's House but certainly not a pond. I think that would be a cool addition though.

It's a retention pond. They are lowering the field and the pond is necessary for drainage.

Who has the "best stadium" will always be subjective. For instance Cowboys Stadium is probably the best stadium on Earth but there is a lot NOT to like about it. A&M did essentially follow what Bama did though, took their time to really think through every detail and are going to build the best stadium they can for the long term with budget being a secondary issue. Since it is a rebuild it will never be as aesthetically pleasing as a stadium built from scratch but it has the historical component. For instance Kyle is one of the oldest (some argue THE oldest) stadium that has been on the same piece of land.
That also makes it hard to do much to the original designers, some of their grandchildren are already dead.

Just find the designers that developed their expansion plans while on a fishing trip.

Tiger Stadium opened in 1924. When did Kyle open?

The parking garages are necessary because they are putting in a ridiculous amount of luxury seating and right now only have the small parking lot next to the stadium. If you are asking people to spend $20k per seat they are going to want good parking.
I'm assuming that building underground lots are not an option because of the cost. Is that right?

A&M has played football on Kyle Field since 1904, though a stadium wasn't built until 1927.

We started playing football there with fans on wooden bleachers in 1904.

Ah, cool. Thanks. That should offer a nice opportunity to improve the aesthetics of that part of campus, increasing the tailgating experience. On the other hand, it might just become a mosquito sink.
