ND should have dropped below Georgia and A&M. I serious doubt that ND could beat SC.

Found one mistake on that list. Not sure if there are others.

Fixed it.

Why are you confused? The only 3 entities that matter since 2004 are the coach's poll, harris poll, and the computers. The AP decided to withdraw from the BCS, so their poll is meaningless. It means as much as a TD fan poll, which is to say, nothing.

The preseason AP poll and where they finished.

1. USC (unranked, 7-6)
2. Bama (1, 13-1)
3. LSU (14, 10-3)
4. OU (15, 10-3)
5. Oregon (2, 12-1)
6. UGA (5, 12-2)
7. FSU (10, 12-2)
8. Michigan (24, 8-5)
9. SC (8, 11-2)
10. Arky (unranked, 4-8)
11. WVU (unranked, 7-6)
12. Wisconsin (uranked, 8-6)
13. Mich St (unranked, 7-6)
14. Clemson (11, 11-2)
15. Texas (19, 9-4)
16. VT (unranked, 7-6)
17. Nebraska (25, 10-4)
18. Ohio St (3, 12-0)
19. Okie St (unranked, 8-5)
20. TCU (unranked, 7-6)
21. Stanford (7, 12-2)
22. K St (12, 11-2)
23. UF (9, 11-2)
24. Boise (18, 11-2)
25. Louisville (13, 11-2)

Edit: Michigan finished 24 instead of unranked.

If I had to give the Overachiever Award for that list, I would have to go with Arky. Could have been 2-10.

So? The capital one bowl gave us a trophy, doesn't mean we're national champs. This isn't difficult..in 1998 all the major conferences agree to abide by the BCS system and that would be the ultimate system to determine a champion. Since 2004, the AP hasn't been a part of that. Soooo...yeah, the AP is meaningless.

I'm a blast. What's wrong with pointing out that this poll doesn't mean anything? Guess that makes me a real stick in the mud.

Pretty much. You might as well say that football in general doesn't matter because it's just a game.

The AP poll is the first poll shown behind the BCS for a reason.

Reach much? Football matters very much, and there's one system that everyone agreed to go by 15 years ago. The AP isn't part of it.

And there's a reason the BCS is listed first, because it's the only one that matters.

Vandy should be higher...they'd beat the teams ranked 16-25

Hmmm, I must have missed the post-bowl BCS poll.

Might be going a bit overboard here, especially since we blew our chance against #17 Northwestern early in the season. That said, I'll take #23!!

And Crompdaddy was correct: 1st Top 25 finish since 1948...

This is not a flame at all because I genuinely don't know, but yall didn't finish ranked in 2008? That was the year yall were pretty good and had gamedy and beat auburn right? What was your final record?
