We're dead, 6 - 1 bottom of the ninth... :banghead:
re: NFL Hall of Famer on A&M vs LSU

Sumlin has Donnie Avery from UH in the NFL currently playing for the Colts
A&M had Robert Ferguson who was pretty successful with the Packers, and Martellus Bennett a pass catching TE, but that's about it.
I expect Swope will be drafted this year.

Last year's game was the result of OM overachieving and taking advantage of A&M's first ever SEC road game, and A&M proved they could overcome a 6 turnover performance and STILL win....both teams got better as the year went on, but A&M just has more talent and will win again this year.
re: Aggies, y'all need to pay the man.

It's not just about pay for himself, Sumlin wants his staff taken care of. We need to hire a new OC and ST coach. I'd say we should to give him $8M to allocate as he sees fit, pay his staff whatever he wants out of that and keep the rest for himself, that way no whining about. $8M for all coaches would be second only to Bama in the SEC based on 2012's salaries.

Sorry Sarge I haven't seen A&M hoisting any crystal footballs. You beat us,but you didn't get much to show for it. Because no one else did. Alabama got it done. You didn't.
We would have beaten ND 10X worse than you did if given the chance, and everyone in the country knows it, so frick you! :doublebird:
How many missed tackles did Teo have last night?
Posted by cashag95 on 1/8/13 at 10:27 am
It had to be close to double digits, anyone see a stat on it anywhere? Nothing personal, he seems like a good guy and will probably do ok in the NFL, but he was nowhere close to being Heisman worthy from what I saw last night.
re: Who'd you rather be: Manziel or McCarron?

This is an apples to oranges discussion. JFF has only played 1 year, after he's played 3 more, then we can compare the two. Who's to say JFF won't have another Heisman AND a MNC ring or two to go along with them AND bangs AJ's girl and AJ's mom within the next 3 years?? :pimp:

Yawn, let me know when the final BCS standings are out...
re: Bama reeling in the offensive talent (rest of the SEC not so much)

A&M is QUICKLY stockpiling the best skill position players in the SEC.
RB - Two 5*'s in B Williams and T Williams to go along with Malena who is solid
QB - Heismansel, Showers, Davis, and adding 2 top 15 QBs
WR - Evans the man child, adding 6-5 RSJ, 6-3 JaQuay Williams, and a couple other 6-3+ guys you will soon come to know
In addition, Sumlin has been adding speedy ATH who could end up on D or O, depending on needs. Get used to seeing us dominate at the skill positions over the next few years! :nana:

re: Will JFF follow his dream and transfer to UT?
Posted by cashag95 on 12/11/12 at 9:27 am
As was proven again this year, a defensive player will never win the Heisman, so transferring to tu to play safety would be a bad move for him on many levels.... :rotflmao:
re: Was Manziel wearing a Rolex at the ceremony?
Posted by cashag95 on 12/10/12 at 9:01 am
The watch was his grandpa's, it was given to him when he passed away, and he wanted to wear it as a tribute to him during the Heisman ceremony since his grandpa was the one that made him want to play football when he was a kid. Keep questioning it though....and kicking puppies, or whatever else you haters want to do.

2012 Sumlin/JFF on the left....2011 Sherman/Tannehill on the right

With our luck against Mizzou, Berkstresser will be the second coming of Blaine Gabbert and probably torch us at Kyle again! :banghead:
re: Does Mike Sherman get any credit fro the gift he left TAMU?
Posted by cashag95 on 11/14/12 at 4:45 pm
He got plenty of credit, but Sumlin has exposed how bad a college coach he was. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Sherman, he was/is a great man, probably had the best character of any coach I've ever seen, which is great for mentoring kids and preparing them for life, but unfortunately for him, he was paid to do more than that and just couldn't get it to translate into W's on the field.
re: Quaterback Rating Rankings through Week 11
Posted by cashag95 on 11/14/12 at 4:40 pm
QB Ratings ignore rushing stats, so JFF is not being given his due using that metric. Factor that in, and he's clearly the best QB in the SEC.
