FSU should show up and take a knee until it’s over.

Someone needs to take a stand against our flawed system. I can think of no better way to pressure the committee to dissolve itself. Make your bed, now sleep in it.

To be clear, I think Alabama and Texas would beat FSU. I do not want to watch, care about, or be a part of a sport that is based on intangible metrics, money, and feelings.

Take the knee.

They're going to get obliterated by Georgia regardless if they throw the game intentionally or not.

Most everyone will agree with you, but this is the Gump Rant so you’ll get downvoted to oblivion. I’ve been listening to college talk radio all morning and no one agrees with the decision

A 12 team playoff is coming next year. What other change are you fighting for? No committee, just a computer model?

Exactly. Why not make a statement and still get the benefits of going to a bowl game. Nobody would count that as a loss

Taking the actual CFP criteria, three of the five ranking categories were essentially a wash (if needed, a head-to-head tiebreaker would obviously go to Texas).

That leaves the other two, strength of schedule and availability of key players — Florida State could be considered dead last in both.

Nothing about this is intangible.

For sure. We should go back to the computer model who had Florida St at #4....and Bama at #3.

All this outrage and we're moving to 12 teams next year...could have been this year but FSU helped block it. Boo hoo.

FSU benefitted by playing teams like Pitt, Syracuse, Duke, Wake Forest and Boston College. A terrible Louisville team in their conf title game.

FSU is not unbeaten or 12-1 with Bama's schedule. Bama is easily unbeaten with FSU's schedule.

FSU needs to show up and play. Who are they to turn their noses up to the Orange Bowl? They've been horrible for a while now. Go beat Georgia and prove you're the best. If you get blown out because you "quit" to prove a point then you're only hurting yourselves.

Acting like moving to 12 teams solves the problem is insane to me. The same inconsistency will exist for everyone.

Why is everyone so cool with a system that is so flawed?? I have a way bigger problem with not knowing what the criteria for success are. It devalues everything. Give me a BCS + G5 model all day

All SEC teams that disagree with the committee's decision should forfeit the shared revenue to protest this travesty. Principles and all

Yeah that means nothing. It’s easy to find ignorance.

What's crazy is that it actually says 'availability of key players and coaches.'

If Harbaugh was still suspended, this could actually be a very interesting discussion between those two teams.

I think it'd be funny if they did all the pregame stuff leading up to the game, and then never showed up to the actual game, leaving UGA no one to play
