All fans do this when you lose a great player. You say the next guy is just as good/ better. And, he was probably rated really high, etc. But, it doesn't always work out that way.
Moreover, I think the big argument for Brantley was that he was the superior passer to Tebow. Not necessarily the better player, but the better pure passer.
