Depending on which Team drafts Hurts, after a 1-2 year apprenticeship, I think he'll be ready to start and give a Team a shot to go 8-8 or 9-7

Tell ya what, give him all the snaps in Camp and I'll bet anything I own that he'll be better than Trubisky this season, Hurts has to land with a Team with a strong defense so there won't be as much pressure on him to win games early in his career, relying on his Offense to score tons of points

Start listing some QBs outside the Top15 and you'll realize that Hurts has a decent chance to succeed compared to some of those guys that are already starting

What college or nfl team employs you for your opinion to mean more?

Fromm will be a serviceable backup for a decade IMO. He's easy going and likable with decent (for an NFL rookie) accuracy, and an aversion to taking risks. High pressure organizations or media environments are a bad fit for his personality. Sit him behind the starter in SD, Minnesota, or the like and he'll be just fine.

Hurts is a different animal.
He's a natural leader and a fierce competitor with a lunch-pail mentality that could lead him to maximize his physical tools through sheer effort. I think he can take the Bears to the playoffs in 2020 and make them better over the next few seasons. Hell, he could make Mitch a better player by being the backup.

I like Fromm, but I'd take Jalen to lead a team.

I just watched a video on NFL.com that had Fromm's stock dropping and Hurts stock rising. As Fromm was throwing behind receivers while Hurts was passing better than anticipated.

Fromm needs a specific system to be successful. Lots of short to mid range passes, predicated on timing before natural throwing talent. His measurables are average. All of this potential comes from understanding the offense and anticipation, but he lacks the arm to be a franchise QB.

It says something that Bill Belichek was one of the most interested parties at the combine, but look at the structure of their offense and it makes some sense.

Fromm = all the intangibles, none of the measurables

Hurts = some of the intangibles, most of the measurables

They're both great young men, but I can't see Fromm having the athleticism to play QB in the NFL. Hurts at least has the physical tools to get some looks as a skill player and maybe an emergency QB (like Taysom Hill)

Got that backwards, man. That's from a guy who's watched every Fromm snap for 3 years.

Completion % =/= accuracy

Fromm is great with a couple of throws, but his repertoire is limited.

Hurts is inconsistent, which some would say is worse.

Hurts gonna likely start as a Taysom Hill type weapon. Relying on his passing skills as a starting QB will be a failure.
