Hopefully we’ll get a rematch this year

I would suggest you look at Texas for your paradigm of hope.....getting whupped by Georgia at home in the regular season on your home field does not bode well for you on a neutral field....

I acknowledged that. Did you even read what I wrote? I thought you were smart, dude. G-D mussies.

"And apart from uga, bama, and lsu (and to a lesser extent, uf and auburn), I highly doubt this stat line against uga and uf is unique to the VOLS"'

"Yeah, it's the worst record in the Big 6 over that time period."

South Carolina is 7-13 against Florida and 6-14 against UGA from 05-25, so 13-30 overall. Not good, but still better than the 8-33 Tennessee is. Missouri is 6-6 against Florida and 1-11 against UGA, so 6-17 overall. Once you get past the 5 other Big 6 schools, you're basically left with teams like Vandy and Kentucky who have played them enough times to draw anything from it.

So what exactly are you trying to contextualize that you think people don't understand? That over the last 20 years, Tennessee has performed like a bottom half of the conference team against the best programs in the SEC? I think everyone already knew that.

I think we can all agree that the games Tennessee cares about the most are Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. That's why the OP exists. Because Tennessee just lost another game to one of those schools. Ole Miss rarely plays UGA or Florida and they're not supposed to be one of the best prigrams in the SEC, so it's not worth talking about what they've done

Always remember. They couldn't win a title with Manning, oh wait, we couldn't with E Smith. Ignore this.

Heupel is 5 years in with his own folks now. One has to ask, if not now, when?
He’s evolving. Not all coaches do. It took Ryan Day a lot longer than it should’ve but he got his. Do you really think Heupel can’t? It’s Tennessee. We’re not talking some school that can’t compete recruiting. They get plenty of talent. The offense this year no longer uses just the hash marks to spread people out. You’re crazy if you think they can’t get there.

uga has beaten bama one time in 17 years

Imagine insulting a team then going 3-14 head to head

I remember when we lost to them for an entire decade. When we finally won in 2000 the goalposts came down in Sanford for the only time ever. We then won in Neyland the next year in the “hobnail boot game” for the first time in decades. Series has completely flipped.

Yep that 2001 game was The Rubicon as far as the series goes.

Plus Tennessee has an overall losing record to all 3.

Georgia leads the series 30-23-2...Since Derek Dooley was hired at UT in 2010, the record is 14-2 in Georgia's favor...so, prior to hiring Vince Dooley's son, UT lead the series 21-16-2. Getting Derek Dooley hired as UT's HC was the best covert sabotage in the SEC since Vandy shipped DiNardo off to Baton Rouge or Arkansas sent Houston Nutt to Ole Miss.

Florida leads the series 32-22...Since Derek Dooley was hired at UT in 2010, the record is 13-3 in Florida's favor...so, prior to hiring Dooley, the series was tied 19-19.

Bama leads the series 59-40-7...Since Derek Dooley was hired at UT in 2010, the record is 13-2 in Bama's favor. Prior to hiring Dooley, Bama led the series 46-38-7.

So, Alabama was the only one of the 3 that actually led the series prior to UT's toilet bowl swirl that resulted from hiring Dooley.

This is where it went completely off the rails.
