not sure why we been trying to power hit the ball with this wind. we are in this position because of contact hits this inning.

It was the typical rivalry game. One run game that was well played by both teams.
I was surprised that Bianco did not bring another pitcher to start the ninth inning.
Rabe pitched well. But we finally got some hits in the ninth off him.

State had to get through game 1. We did that only giving up 4 hits. Rebs were efficient and did what they do, but that was a huge win. This state lineup is lethal. Our bullpen isn’t where we need it, but it’s serviceable.

Bullpen has improved tremendously over the course of the season. Davis struggled tonight but the other pitchers were outstanding.
Still a bit of a weakness but we are getting better. Foster was outstanding and we need him to be a quality starter for midweek games or a long reliever on weekends.
