After struggling against Auburn & Texas’ lefties, Dawgs are trying to manifest success against the Hogs, who also start 2 LHPs

Huh? I don’t think you read things correctly.

The coaches gave every player on the team one of those shirts because they’ve been struggling against lefties recently.

It’s basically Wes Johnson & Will Coggin sending a message to the team to get their shite together. The players didn’t choose to wear them and it’s hardly a form of trash talk, just self-deprecating motivation.

Yep diddly, you are correct. That's a pretty salty jab by coach.

Supposedly the players found it funny and Wes intended it as a way to loosen guys up. Too much frustration at the plate against lefty pitching and guys are pressing instead of showing the patience they’d shown all year otherwise. Has nothing to do with Arkansas other than them having two good lefty starters we are going to have to figure out this weekend

I would argue you struggled with the righties too..

the K's against the lefties is pretty eye opening though..

Id argue the tale of our woes vs LHP (beyond the K figure) is that every LHP we faced in Austin averaged at least 5 IP. Not only did we not hit them well, we were just taking 3 pitches a batter and hoping to run into something. Only 6 walks drawn over 18 innings vs LHP (compared to 4 walks on 6 innings vs righties).

No patience, no process. Just resignation to what felt like the inevitable until the guy on the mound was tired in the late innings. Volantis and Spencer are going to be throwing in the Show in the near future so they’re going to get theirs but you’ve got to at least make them work for it and we just didn’t.

Auburn quietly having a strong season. Hope LSU is ready for a tough test on the road

Man, those standings are going to be jumbled up come Saturday night. The ones at the top can pull away a bit, or it could be a huge log jam at the top. This is fun!

I'm glad UGA was swept last weekend, but I want them to sweep this weekend.

Also, sorry UK that you're about to be 5-10 in conference play.

Im a little concerned with our bats lately. We played well last Saturday but Friday and Sunday was rough on offense and the midweek game was just one big inning.

Our pitching staff has been great though. We didn't have a single pitcher charged with an earned run the whole weekend

What I don’t get, you have two top ten matchups at Oxford and Athens but SECN is showing Vandy-OU ? Who makes these schedule decisions ?
