Wichita State is probably closer to an NIT-level team than the middle school team that UF is making them look like, though

Yeah they’re not as good this year unfortunately. I think we ended up beating them by 40-ish as well.

ETA: Scratch that, we played Wright State.

Florida is 7th in KenPom, 8th on offense and 19th on defense.

Florida is 8-0 and hasn’t won a game by fewer than 13 points.

They are definitely good lol

4 of the top 8 in Kenpom are now SEC. It wasn’t that long ago when the SEC could barely get 4 into the Big Dance.

This is going to be a war in conference play

I think Florida is really good, but Top Ten? Maybe. Maybe not. Carolina is decent but not great.

I’d have a hard time putting 10 teams in the country in front of Florida right now.

I mean Wichita State would probably be toward the bottom of the SEC, but they're a Top 100 team who's expected to make some form of postseason, and UF made them look like a middle school team and and was up by nearly 50 before putting in the walkons

I know UF has played a fairly weak schedule, but this team is genuinely very good since the strengths from last year are still there and the new pieces shore up the weaknesses (perimeter defense with Martin, rim protection with the two transfer bigs).

UF is #7 in KP after today, so Top 10 is not even close to being a stretch

But yea ultimately we'll see in SEC play I guess

OU's defense is looking good early, but Fears is sitting with 2 already.

I’ve got both of those and Oklahoma on three separate devices. Best sports week of the year, by far!

They're good for sure, but they had one of those games against Wichita where everything was going right and they couldn't miss.

Ole Miss trying to keep it within striking distance, but Sooners playing decent ball against UL.

37-29 OU with 1 min left in half. Lots of game left but with Fears on bench most of first half they still overcame what I see as a rougher start.

Meh, the best team in the land, your Auburn Tigers, are off. Therefore, schedule sucks.

And played the best defense I've seen them play since Golden has been there.

Also, UF has great shooters, so they're going to shoot well more often than not.
