No you are golden. I love what you bring.

I was actually going to ask you if you wanted to do the daily baseball threads, because I just started a new company and I am going to be busy as heck from now until about September, and you are always bringing the best stuff to the thread.

I won’t be able to keep up. Too many offspring and commitments.

Good luck on the new business. I have that in my plans over the next few years.

Hoping Thatcher Hurd will become our Sunday guy, effective this weekend, while we get true freshman Chase Shores extended mid week starts.

Thatcher Hurd - 1-0, 3 GS, 2.84 ERA, 18k in 12.2 IP, .261 BAA.

Chase Shores - 0-0, 3 GS, 1.00 ERA, 6k in 9.0 IP, .242 BAA.

Hurd's ERA and BAA are a little skewed. Really struggled in his first start against Southern. Was his first game back from a back injury suffered about a year ago. His next 2 starts he went 10.2, 15 strikeouts, 6 hits, no runs.

Shores is the future Friday guy. Throws 100 and has gotten the Sunday starts to date, but doesn't really have a true strikeout pitch. They haven't extended him past the 4th inning yet this year. Hopefully they start to do that in the midweek while developing a strikeout pitch.

Knock on wood. Our OOC schedule is pretty weak this year. We've got this series and then Presbyterian in the midweek. That should be a 4-0 stretch, 3-1 at the worst, giving us only 1 loss in conference play. Then we'll see how we actually measure up.

Pretty lousy slate here.

La Tech is solid. Lipscomb is decent. Other than that, blech.

There are some good games in other conferences where some teams are starting conference play this weekend.
