You can write one that is catchy but the machine behind them to market them is where the gold is. That dude from Arkansas got it done with the new one featured on Paaaaul. Kudos to him.
But here’s the thing: Why does this awful crap appeal to so many??? I play a college bar here in Oxford and these kids have never heard any Van Morrison, or Dylan (Outside of Wagon Wheel which they don’t know it’s a Dylan song) or many of the greats. They love it when they are exposed to it. They come and ask me about it. They just haven’t heard it. That’s why Fleetwood Mac has made a resurgence. They found it somehow.

It’s a fricking horrible commercial. How their Ad Agency is still employed by Applebee’s is crazy.

Of all the commercials on television, this one probably wins because it just advertises the restaurant and its products.

Made a huge mistake telling my wife how everyone is annoyed with this commercial. She then paid attention to it and thinks it is really cute and keeps singing the jingle.

Considering all the other similar chains that have gone out of business the past two years and the last time large groups actually talked about applebees, they have done a great job.
Is Applebees the salad bar restaurant?

That is exactly what I was going to say and this isn't the only board talking about it!
What do they say about getting people talking about you, good or bad? Looks like the ad is Brilliant!
