I did not say any of that.
Over the years my interest has gone down. Part of it is age.
I’m still disappointed when we lose.
I just don’t spend as much time and treasure on it as I did when I was younger.
I think people can spend their time and money on whatever they decide to do.
I’m not taking joy from any other fan. I’m only stating that I no longer construct my entire fall around college football.
Enjoy it IF that’s what makes you happy.
If you like golf, hunting, fishing, etc enjoy those and check on football on the side.

Don’t let the idiots get to you Makers. I for one am the first to admit that the last few years my interest has waned. Went through a divorce back in 2019 and my give a crap has diminished especially for excuses.

I don’t think anybody is an idiot.
Football is just less important to me the longer I live.
Football is entertainment. I hope people enjoy spending their money and time on it. I know I did when I made those choices when I was younger.
But going to a game is a grind as you age. Car ride, hotel, food, gas. Endless TV timeouts. Even watching a game on TV requires you to dedicate that time to the team. I prefer to play golf on the weekends over watching games on TV.
I watched the second half the other day, but I laughed more than I swore. It’s just another thing I don’t control. Football neither makes me richer or poorer.
For me the calculus really changed when I had open heart surgery. Football is something to watch on rainy days or at night for me. As of now, I value doing things over watching others do things.
