Going to Notre Dame makes a lot of sense for him. I, personally, thought he was a bit of a risky hire, so I hope we get someone more legit now.

Hard to blame the guy for going to ND. With their defensive talent and Charmin soft schedule, he should be able to make a name for himself. If he is trying to forward his career, going through Bama and Florida offenses every year sounds like a tough row to hoe.

They were young and learning an overly complicated system. Play improved later in the season.

Not sure of off field issues or personality conflicts, but firing him seemed a bit premature given the total circumstances of the season.
