Well, I see he's back to the old whiney, negative nancy Tony Franklin.

Rather than yesterday's glimpse of someone who actually wanted to succeed.

Tubby actually shares major blame for their recruiting.

I'm not convinced Franklin is "terrible".

AU's offense didn't even rank in the top 50 last year nationally.....they finished 97th in total offense.

From some of the things I gather from reading links and listening to the radio, Franklin didn't have total control of the offense.

It's not like he took over an offense that was lighting the score board up last year and all of a sudden it fell off the tracks.

certainly having Tubby's band of brothers as his assistants had to be a tough situation, I think he totally mismanaged the hire and the expectations that were set for how easy the transition would be...

but I said during the summer that I thought Franklin was in way over his head because of some of the stuff he was saying. (wish the old threads were still on here)

I wonder how many LSU fans still think Tuberville would be a better coach than Miles...

I seem to remember you saying something about Franklin making some comments about not watching film and not making adjustments or something.

Finebomb mentioned something about possible race issues with Todd and Burns but supposedly Burns can't read a stop sign.

Not necessarily. AU's offense sucked before he got there. They finished 97th in total offense last year and 10th, I think, in the SEC last year in total offense.

Tony Franklin loaded up his car in front of the Auburn athletic building and drove away Wednesday, a little more than hour after he was fired as the school's offensive coordinator.

``They told me to get lost,'' he offered to an Auburn employee who watched.

He told someone else, ``I don't have any reason to hang around.''

Franklin said he wouldn't discuss his dismissal today.

When asked what was the best part at being of Auburn, Franklin said, ``no comment.''

PF certainly will fan racial flames whenever possible...a number of black Auburn fans will call and question why Burns isn't playing and a few have suggested it's racial, but before the Auburn game I was with a couple of Auburn boosters who said coaches had told them that he doesn't know the plays, and frequently ran the totally wrong play in practice.

Tubby has had 5 OC & 5 DC in the past 10 yrs. He threw each & every one under the bus. That record pretty much defines where the problem lies: the HC is responsible.

You can bet Tub's next. He better beat Bama if he wants to stay and then he still may go. I'd love to see him land at Moo U.
