There is a lot of expert commentator talk that reflects this view, which makes me think it will be a very close game.

Ari Wasserman and Andy Staples at SI said the following:

SI Article Indiana Alabam

quote:

“I’m just not going to overcomplicate this,” said Wasserman on the ‘Andy & Ari On3 Show’. “I’m going to pick the better team to cover the spread. The better team is Indiana. I don’t care about history today. I don’t care about what you were for ten years. I care about the tape that you put on display.”

Several on ESPN said this morning Bama is going to get blownout by at least 14, but probably more. Should be interesting to watch.

Eh, the score is deceiving. I don't think Georgia put together more than one long drive in that game. I think they barely had 300 yards of total offense.
They had a short drive from a blocked punt, a punt return, and an interception.
The last TD they got, was a short field from 10 yards after Bama failed to convert on 4th and 2. Ty Simpson had a check down route for the first down but instead tried to hit Germie Bernard across the field and threw it out of bounds.
If Bama converts that, gets momentum and score, it's 21-14 at that point. Not necessarily headed to a blowout.

Not even sure what this means anymore, but in the last quarter century BAMA's worst losses were
28 points to Clemson
21 points to Uga
21 points to OU (this is probably the closest to being run out of a stadium because BAMA was beaten 24-3 and all OU did was run the ball).

If IU beats BAMA by more than 28 points, I would be shocked and so would everyone on this board with any sense.

No that was fluky of flukes. OU absolutely did NOTHING in the second half but allow Milroe to self-destruct.
OU lead 10-3 at the start of the 3rd Q. Bama had the ball and was putting together a nice drive when Milroe telegraphed a screen pass right to the OU defender who ran it back to the 12 yard line. OU scored, it's 17-3. OU kicks off and Milroe promptly throws a pick 6. It's 24-3 and game over.

Yet another "Bama might have whipped our asses, but..." thread from an LSU fan.

Sad.

Thanks for the recap. I watched every miserable second of that game.

Scoring 3 points and the other team scoring 24 is a blowout. IDGAF what the score was in the 3rd qtr.
But admittedly I already said I'm not sure what "getting run out of the stadium" means anymore.

When youre sitting at home while the playoff teams are playing, it gets you salty. They didnt get asked to the prom and are bitter.

Alabama had less than 100 yards of total offense going into the fourth quarter. The score was 21-0

Georgia's offense controlled the tempo of the game and only had to throw one pass further than 15 yards past the line of scrimmage. Kirby knew it would be that easy.

Even Roll Tide Willie recognized a beatdown and left the party early.

Congraulations on almost scoring 14 points.
