Why was Petrino throwing passes up big late in the game vs. Miss State? vs. Tennessee?

You do realize that you can't take a knee to run out the clock with 7 minutes left in the game? Had LSU just run the ball, we would have surely scored another touchdown because we made your defense quit!!!

Dooley may very well 'deserve' another year, but he sure as hell hasn't earned it.

Mr Dooley was their 6th, yes sixth choice. They were turned down by everyone else and made a too-quick decision due to late recruiting pressures...

Why are you wasting your time and energy trying to defend Miles?

LSU scored 21 points in less time in the 2nd quarter than what remained in the game at that time.

Petrino has exhibited this behavior throughout his career, and not just on a local scale, but nationally.

Respectable Arkansas fans are not defending his actions at this point, and there were many that tried during the heat of the moment. But, upon further review, they realized their mistake.

Excellent, I have read in many other comments by very respectable Arkansas fans that agreed that Miles was not trying to run up the score on their team but as with any fan base a loud minority who gets their feelings hurt.

I'll continue to remind every Arkansas fan that LSU kicked a FG to go up by 24 points with 5:08 left on the clock.

At the end of the 1st half, LSU scored 21 points in a span of 4 minutes and 16 seconds (5:15 - 0:59) with their offense and special teams.

It is not unthinkable that Arkansas could do the same with their big play WRs and punt return teams

If you have a problem with another team securing victory before kneeling down, which LSU did on the following series, perhaps you should find a different sport to follow.

A little different. Despite what people will say, I don't think Dooley the job because of his name. It's not like anyone really cares about Vince Dooley, anyways.

He got the job because it was the worst time to make the hire. Working under Saban probably helped his cause, too.

It was either Dooley or an interim coach. UT didn't want to go with the interim coach because the fear of the recruiting class falling apart.

Dooley may be Mike Shula. I don't think anyone knows for sure.

What I do know that he only has one senior and one junior that could even get on the field if they were at LSU or Bama.

Keep in mind, Kiffin ran off all of the Fulmerites. Then Kiffin signed one class of 22 players. 11 of those players were arrested and kicked off the team or quit in their first two semesters.

I say give it one more year. Based upon the players coming back and the incoming recruiting class, the team should be much improved. If not, then it would be time to cut him loose.

Dooley will probably get another year, but if they have a chance to make THAT deal, they'd be crazy not to pull the trigger.

Yeah, Richt has won one SEC title at LSU's expense and another against an Arkansas team that had no business being anywhere near the Georgia Dome that day. LSU also has won one SEC title at Richt's expense. He's 3-3 vs. LSU. And LSU has two NCs during the same time Richt has produced zero at Georgia. So pardon me if I'm not in awe of Richt.

Richt is good, not great. Georgia fans wanted him gone after he started 0-2 this year and wanted him gone after 6-7 last year. Stick to comparing him against schools who haven't won NCs during his tenure.

UT - La Tech just won the WAC this year with an 8-4 so maybe you should hire Sonny Dykes...

I have to say - Dooley interviewed the top prospect in the state of TN - I'Tavius Mathers out of Blackman High School in Murfreesboro. The first question he asked this kid was, "How many kids do you have". The interview ended and I'Tavius committed to...gulp...Ole Miss. That says more about Dooley and his recruiting skill than I will ever need to know. He is a dick and the Vols will pay dearly for not getting rid of his arse ASAP.

Recruiting is not Dooley's problem.
