The ankle sprain surgeries improved the strength in that area and it's even stronger now than it was before.
And they get him back on the field in a matter of weeks.
And no one knows the long term effects of those surgeries.

Like what potentially? People get things plates and things put in their body like that all the time.

His hip is the injury with the worst long term issues. He’s going to age in dog years under the stress of being an NFL athlete. You and I would just get stiff and have a little limp over time but still be able to function. His window is super short to be on an NFL roster.

My point isn't really about logic as much as perception
Yeah he got back on the field, but he wasn'y 100% either season, and it makes him seem more injury prone than he really is.
Sprained ankles happen. You don't really think too much about them.
Surgeries, even minor ones, are a semi big deal.
I get that it's the amount of injuries that makes him seem injury prone, that's what I think the report is plausible.
But he is unlikely to get those kinds of injuries anymore.

I'm not a doctor, but I don't remember hearing anything like that. I was under the impression the biggest worry was what happened to Bo.
Seems like hip surgeries are pretty routine and successful these days.

I am a doctor. That surgery is fine and his health would be fine if he wasn’t a football player. The rest of us can get that surgery and will wake up sore and stiff for the rest of our life. Some days will be worse than others. We won’t have 300lb men falling on us or taking hits from 250lb 4.5 speed freight trains.

I think Yua and Young from Ohio State are two of the most overrated draft picks in a long time.
Tua is obviously brittle.
Young disappeared in every big game this year.

It really is a shame Saban played that kid hurt the way he did.

It really is a shame. Saban doesn't care about his players.

If Saban actually cared about his players; this thread will be non-existent.
It would be Leaf/ Manning all over again.
Shame.

Drew breeze failed his for the Miami dolphins and he turned out alright.

I never believe any of these. Teams pander to the media with misinformation to aid their draft.
It is what it is! Misinformation is way to let others know they are backing away from it to give others a way to do the same until one of those two jump on him when he is still available to draft him!

Some medical articles regarding his injuries that were posted on here after it happened seemed to say that the issues Bo had with proper circulation won't be completely known for awhile. They said it can be as long as two years before you know you're completely in the clear. You also have to wonder how well everything healed, which is sometimes really difficult to tell until you play.

I call horseshite. They pull this shite with draftees all the time to try and lower their stock and get them for a better bargain. Tua will be a damn good NFL QB. Rooting for him. Only player I’ve really liked from a rival since Tebow. Dude is a class act and genuinely good person.
