Let us call it like it is.
Clark is a mouth. I said so, even though I liked it when Iowa beat South Carolina. She's one of these new school, play downhill types. When she's rolling, she's rolling. And when she's not ? She bitches, a lot. Very convenient for a chick that pushes off, weakly, to get most of her shots.
Now let's call it fair the other way. Angel Reese has one move. Throw her shoulder into the other girl, gather herself after that contact, then make the shot. She's done it all year. She did it tonight, and it was blatantly obvious several times.
The officials liked the style of Reese. They did not like the general style of Iowa, period. The calls were skewed. The calls are often skewed.
Enjoy your beer and gumbo. And your newfound love of women's sports. Doesn't change the fact that officiating tilted this game. Enjoy that it tilted in your favor, Baton Rouge.

What tilted the game was LSU's bench. End of story.

Yes. Same officiating. Because, get this, one side can foul more than the other. Most other sports are OK with that. Football certainly is - nobody bitches when one team holds way more than the other and gets called for it.
But - for whatever reason - in basketball, everybody wants to see the number of fouls be even.
And - get this - Iowa sat their best play with three in the second quarter. Did you notice that ? They also sat the big stocky girl, their only post player, in the second quarter. Did you notice that ?
Or did you miss that, on the way for another beer and bowl of gumbo ?

Olbermann also bitches about athletes celebrations in baseball too. He’s one of those guys who hates everything now and especially others experiencing any joy.

The problem with your brilliant take is that Iowa shot more free throws than LSU (until the end when Iowa was fouling to put them on the line) and was called for fewer fouls than LSU. You also apparently forgot that three LSU starters (and their two best players Reese and Morris) missed the entire second quarter because of foul trouble. The refereeing was atrocious, but it’s absurdly weak and plain wrong to say it blatantly favored one team. LSU won because its bench went off in the second quarter and they built the huge lead.

LSU shot 58% from the field in the first half, including 75% from three-point range.
Jasmine Carson scored 21 points in the first half from the bench and was 5/5 from downtown.
Our bench is the reason we won.

Yeah, they sat Clark for about three minutes, not the entire quarter. Your BS is really weak here.

Correct. Kobe talked trash during the game. He didn't run up and taunt players after the game, especially not the championship game, dumb arse.
FFS. You’ve been crying over this for hours now. What a whiny bitch. No way you’re a guy.

Yes. And that can happen, and did, while calls went the other way.
Both things can happen, you know. LSU can shoot the lights out in the first half, while also getting calls. And those calls can not matter as much, while LSU is shooting lights out in the first two quarters - yet matter much more when Iowa makes a run later.
For a fanbase that is constantly quick - and often right - to call out officiating bias ... you are all really purposely blind to it when it suits you.

A charitable whistle for my team is just good officiating in my opinion

Olberman is a politics first guy. That’s why he left ESPN for cnn or wherever he went. He defaults to the hyperbolic to justify his believes rather than logic and sound evidence based doctrine. Which is why the opposite side can do no right. He really shouldn’t be quoted for topics containing sports
