I get it, fans do crazy things at football games, especially after they beat a team that they haven't beat in 15 years.
But honestly, pouring a drink on a man in a wheelchair is beyond doing "crazy stuff". I would never defend an Alabama fan doing that and neither should anyone else.
I would simply say, "That is terrible and whoever did that should be ashamed of themselves."
Don't try and rationalize such a act, there is no way to rationalize that action.

It was during Tennessee’s celebration at the end. Everyone was getting hit with beer and other thrown cups. It wasn’t targeting the wheelchair guy
I often sit with my wheelchair cousin at lsu games. The handicap section is at the bottom of the stadium ground level near the student section. After big scores in close games, we know to duck and cover.
Same when I used to sit in the athlete section. You get nailed at the bottom with thrown beer cups.
