According to the NFL Matthews was more ready but Robinson had better physical attributes and had considerably more potential.

I don't see where anyone expected him to be ready to be the starting LT one month in to his career. If as you say he's ready to be a good guard early, and given his upside, then he was worth the pick.

Falcons would've loved to have him.

Much better, actually. It's 7 pages long full of defensive, deflecting Auburn fans.

And despite that, there has actually been some quality discussion.

I'll take it.

I always thought, and still do,that Robinson is wayyy overrated. Second rounder because of potential. Serial holder and when you hold as much as he does, there is a reason for it. You got beat.

Now before the Aubs launch into total meltdown, I am not surprised Dee Ford has done well,it's a pass rushers league and he is very good at it. And I would like to hear how Tre Mason is doing, I have to admit he was as impressive as anyone at the end of last year.

DJ Fluker stepped right in at RT for San Diego and played pretty damn well for a rookie that all the Aubs swore would end up at either guard or back home. And he even stepped up and played a competent left tackle when they needed him to because of injury to the starter. Are you boys saying Fluker is better than Robinson? Evidently he is smarter,OR came from a more pro ready system

It's only OTAs. A lot of conclusions being jumped to before an actual practice even takes place.

binson’s reference to the intensity of the playbook won’t surprise skeptics, either, given that Robinson dealt with a limited range of plays and protections at Auburn.

Auburn o-line playbook: Push the guy in front of you. If it works, run the same play over and over until there is a fake injury.

Well you can't blame him because he went from a highschool playbook to a pro one and that's a big learning curve.

Yep you never see any o line pull just straight ahead blocking.

But, but, but.....auburn fans said he was sooooo much better than Jake Matthews.....I'm confused. Guess it shows you there is only one OLU.

That doesn't speak highly of SEC D coordinators and D minded HC's, does it?

You gotta love the Aubs. I am down on Robinson yes but I have been down on him for awhile, before this report was made.

I say something nice about a couple of their players and they don't bother mentioning that,oh noooo.

Their meltdown is (I have been waiting to throw this back in their faces since last year)..DELICIOUS.

Nah... I never said Alabama would use it. We don't have to. Here's our recruiting pitch:

2012 Alabama Draftees
• Trent Richardson, Cleveland (1st round) Traded and demoted to RB2 before injury put him back to RB1, fumbled in playoffs, talk of whether he is a bust abounds.
• Mark Barron, Tampa Bay (1st round) Not a bust, but play doesn’t justify top 10 pick status in Tampa Bay fans websites.
• Dre Kirkpatrick, Cincinnati (1st round) Jon Gruden called him a bust.
• Dont’a Hightower, New England (1st round) Better in year two after shaky rookie year, considered a C+ or B- player and overweight for his position.
• Courtney Upshaw, Baltimore (2nd round) Considered overweight and a limited pass rusher, better against the run, missed time for personal issues.
• Josh Chapman, Indianapolis (5th round) No starts today, currently on top of the depth chart.
• DeQuan Menzie, Kansas City (5th round) Drafted by Kansas City and cut the next year, picked up by Detroit and then cut, picked up by the Panthers in 2014 for a possible reserve/future contract.
• Brad Smelley, Cleveland (7th round) Drafted and then cut by Browns, signed to practice squad and then cut again. End of 2013 signed with Houston Texans.

2011
• Marcell Dareus, Buffalo (1st round) Made Pro Bowl in 2014 as an injury replacement, arrested for possession of controlled substance and drugs on May 5 2014, arraigned in NY on charges over a car accident from a drag race on June 3 2014.
• Julio Jones, Atlanta (1st round) Great rookie year with Falcons, Pro Bowl in second, out for most all of his 3rd year.
• James Carpenter, Seattle (1st round) Started 10 out of 16 games for the eventual SB champs, Seattle did not pick up his 2015 option.
• Mark Ingram, New Orleans (1st round) Currently RB2, 2015 option not exercised, fumbled in playoff game against Seattle considered costly.
• Greg McElroy, New York Jets (7th round) OUT OF THE NFL

2010
• Rolando McClain, Oakland (1st round) OUT OF THE NFL
• Kareem Jackson, Houston (1st round) Starter. In 2013 committed league-high 174 yards in penalties for position.
• Javier Arenas, Kansas City (2nd round) Kansas City then Cardinals and now in position battle for nickel back with Falcons.
• Terrence Cody, Baltimore (2nd round) Hoping to get a chance to regain a consistent starting roll in 2014, was on 2013 SB team, started all 16 games in 2011, 5 since.
• Mike Johnson, Atlanta (3rd round) Injury prone, started 1 game in 2013.
• Marquis Johnson, St. Louis (7th round) OUT OF THE NFL
• Brandon Deaderick, New England (7th round) Released by Patriots in 2013, picked up by Jaguars and released in 2013 and now picked up by the Saints on one-year contract.

2009
• Andre Smith, Cincinnati (1st round) Starter, likes to miss out on minicamps.
• Glen Coffee, San Francisco (3rd round) OUT OF THE NFL, just graduated from Army Airborne School.
• Antoine Caldwell, Houston (3rd round) Started 19 games for Houston from 2009 to 2012, signed and released from the Bills in the summer of 2013, currently not on contract.
• Rashad Johnson, Arizona (3rd round) Started 7 of his 13 games in 2013. Considered solid.

Maybe Mel Kiper is on to something.
