I guess those people who said Dyer would never play a down at Arkansas State were right

He probably will be a second or third round draft pick...

I'm thinking we will be able to watch him play at UNA before long. They tend to not mind a reject or 2

I started hearing things around the second or third game of 2011. He'd been here awhile at that point. It got real bad when Moseley and the others went full retard and robbed those guys.

quote:Mike Dyer should go to Alabama State, and form the best running back duo of any team in college football. They would dominate that league on the ground. I'd actually tune in to watch them, and stay away from Montgomery, AL completely.

Nah, he will be playing at the nearest penal facility

why did he even leave Auburn in the first place? one more year and he'd head to NFL making millions. what a dumbass
He was perm suspended from the team, had a very very very long list of things to make the team after a year of the bench. He didn't like the idea of riding pine his last year before he wanted to go to the NFL.
Supposedly busted smoking weed in a car was the final straw. I had hoped he would get his life together but it looks like he didn't. Sad that someone so talented will likely go down a very dark path now.

I know a few people that know Trooper personally, and they say he is a really good guy. They say he sincerely cares about the players, and the program, and never ceases to help anyone out.
Those same people told me that basically everyone in the program hated Dyer after the 2010 season.
Also, I'm ready to go out on a limb and say Mullen3:16 has become one of the Top 10 worst posters on this site

Dyer will be lucky to be picked up as a Free Agent but it matters not. He won't make it out of training camp if he is picked up by a team.

I just saw this on Jay Tate's twitter in response to the question about where it went wrong for Dyer.
@JayGTate
Dakota Mosley's demise hurt Dyer more than people realize. RT @codymccain: Where did it go wrong for Dyer?

Wrong.
Michael Dyer's failure to take responsibility for his own actions would be more like it.

frick Alahunter and the rest of the "I know what happened, but I can't say" bull shitters. 7h Ward was the only one that stepped out with some speculation on the subject.
Sad to hear that about Dyer. The kid had all the talent in the world. Looks like he's chosen the Maurice Claret road to failure.

I saw an interview with MD around the time of the 2010 NCG. I'm remember him saying how he really stopped giving a shite after his dad died when he was young. Basically said he was just an angry kid. He would get in tons of fights because he just didn't care... It's pretty sad actually. The guy has all of the talent in the world, but really doesn't give a frick.

I think he probably needs a hug or something.
For real you can't give a frick on the level he doesn't give a frick unless you are just an angry miserable person. Counseling probably wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Michael Dyer in traffic stop where gun, suspected pot found, Sun reports

MICHAEL DYER
The Jonesboro Sun is behind a pay wall, but I can relay that the newspaper this morning has an extensive story on star running back Michael Dyer's abrupt dismissal from the Arkansas State football team yesterday after less than two weeks officially in the fold following his transfer from Auburn, where he'd had unspecified problems..
The Sun says the dismissal appears to be related to a traffic stop in March in White County. Dyer was cited for speeding 96 in a 70 mph zone and fined $17 and give five days of community service. But a Sun review of records on the stop indicates that the state trooper who made the stop found another person in the car with a handgun and a substance believed to be marijuana. No charges were filed over these items, apparently.
The Sun obtained the video of the stop, which includes a conversation between Little Rock Christian graduate Dyer and Trooper Royce Denney, who either knew or came to know Dyer was a football player. The videotape shows Denney asking Dyer if the gun is registered.
"Carrying a pistol around? Uncool ... You've got a career ahead of you but you're being a total dumbass right now," the newspaper quotes from the video.
Denney says he could report the incident to Coach Gus Malzahn, but adds: "What's the best way to make you think? You're a grown man and I'm not trying to treat you like a kid." He also reportedly tells Dyer he doesn't want to tell Malzahn about the incident "because of the NCAA crap."
According to the newspaper account of the video, Dyer responds: "I'm done with this. This is my second chance over here." He urged Denney to take the gun. Eventually, Denney turns the camera off.
The newspaper reports that Denney is under investigation for his actions in the traffic stop.
Dyer left Auburn after admitting during a trial of another man that his gun was used in the robbery and that he had smoked marijuana. Though he only reaffirmed his commitment to stay at ASU despite being unable to play in the fall less than 10 days ago, he'd transferred to ASU six months ago and participated in spring practice.
