The FACTS:

FACT 2. Black People (mostly men) commit a grossly disproportionate amount of crime.

In 2012, white males were 38 percent of the population and committed 4,582 murders. That same year, black males were just 6.6 percent of the population but committed a staggering 5,531 murders.

In other words: black people–at just a fifth of the size–committed almost 1,000 more murders than their white counterparts.


If you don't understand these facts you're hopeless. And if that's you I hope you find yourself in a dark alley in Chicago with ZERO cops around to protect you.

POLICE KILLINGS OF UNARMED AMERICANS

1. A study by a University of California, Davis professor found “evidence of a significant bias in the killing of unarmed black Americans relative to unarmed white Americans, in that the probability of being black, unarmed, and shot by police is about 3.49 times the probability of being white, unarmed, and shot by police on average.” Additionally, the analysis found that “there is no relationship between county-level racial bias in police shootings and crime rates (even race-specific crime rates), meaning that the racial bias observed in police shootings in this data set is not explainable as a response to local-level crime rates.”

Crime variables did not matter in terms of predicting whether the person killed was unarmed.”

3. An analysis of the use of lethal force by police in 2015 found no correlation between the level of violent crime in an area and that area’s police killing rates. That finding, by the Black Lives Matter–affiliated group Mapping Police Violence, disputes the idea that police only kill people when operating under intense conditions in high-crime areas. Mapping Police Violence found that fewer than one in three black people killed by police in 2016 were suspected of a violent crime or armed.

4. A report by retired federal and state judges tasked by the San Francisco district attorney’s office to examine police practices in San Francisco found“racial disparities regarding S.F.P.D. stops, searches, and arrests, particularly for Black people.” The judges, working with experts from five law schools, including Stanford Law School, found that “the disparity gap in arrests was found to have been increasing in San Francisco.” (Officers in San Francisco were previously revealed to have traded racist and homophobic text messages, and those working in the prison system had reportedly staged and placed bets on inmate fights.)

In San Francisco, “although Black people accounted for less than 15 percent of all stops in 2015, they accounted for over 42 percent of all non-consent searches following stops.” This proved unwarranted: “Of all people searched without consent, Black and Hispanic people had the lowest ‘hit rates’ (i.e., the lowest rate of contraband recovered).” In 2015, whites searched without consent were found to be carrying contraband at nearly two times the rate as blacks who were searched without consent.

5. The Department of Justice’sinvestigation into the behavior of police in Ferguson, Missouri, found “a pattern or practice of unlawful conduct within the Ferguson Police Department that violates the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, and federal statutory law.” The scathing report found that the department was targeting black residents and treating them as revenue streams for the city by striving to continually increase the money brought in through fees and fines. “Officers expect and demand compliance even when they lack legal authority,” the report’s authors wrote. “They are inclined to interpret the exercise of free-speech rights as unlawful disobedience, innocent movements as physical threats, indications of mental or physical illness as belligerence.”

“African Americans are more than twice as likely as white drivers to be searched during vehicle stops even after controlling for non-race based variables such as the reason the vehicle stop was initiated, but are found in possession of contraband 26% less often than white drivers,suggesting officers are impermissibly considering race as a factor when determining whether to search,” the authors wrote. Nearly 90 percent of documented uses of force by the Ferguson Police Department were used on African-Americans, and everydocumented use of a police canine bite involved African-Americans.

The USA is so committed to "equality" that it mandates affirmative action and quotas so that it discriminates against white people to give jobs, etc to black people.

Maybe it's the white half of kapernick that's protesting.

I agree in high crime areas more frequent stops or checks happens and i can see how it would seem like targeting if you are innocent but more frequent police involvement in an area reduces crime. Targeting one race is bad, i will agree, but far too often that person screaming the police singled me out or targeted me was being suspicious or got busted with 25+ pound of dope in their trunk or had a stolen unregistered gun or something similar. They are mad they got caught and are trying to blame the cop for targeting them is why they got in trouble, which is an oxymoron, like what came first the chicken or the egg...if they werent stopped they wouldnt have been caught but they also wouldnt have been arrested if they hadnt been breaking the law...but they want to make it like the police are doing something shady by doing their jobs....people with this line of thinking are the same people that call young kids "sell outs" or other racially sensitive names at their own race' for trying to do the right thing or actually learn in school, people that do this help perpetuate the problem and negative culture

They don't care about facts. Facts don't support their narrative.

Rights matter when they want to keep their guns but don't when someone wants human life valued.

If Kaepernick were kneeling because Obama banned guns these same mouthbreathers would be clapping like seals yelling 'Merica.

I don't even understand the level of hate and resentment some of these people have for their fellow man. Deplorable.

Kap can get fricked but this is full blown idiocy. Just like I'd tell the folks of BLM, I'll tell you the same, each of these cases are different. It's not uniform. I could link you to multiple cases of police homicide that was swept under the rug.

I could also show you multiple police shootings that were justified. But that's the point.

One thing that cant be mentioned in the media,the cops that are doing the "killings" risk their lives every day to protect ghettos that resemble (statistically) warzones in iraq. Cops (of all color) protect these places and justifiably kill criminals and unjustifiably do it as well

Self preservation,fear,instinct,ect.. plays a role in all this. Black men are being killed by police that could have been tazed or dealt with differently no doubt,but to blame all the people that keep these places from being completely torched and demolished by their own inhabitants is laughable. What if the cops left detroit and chicago for 48 hours? What would happen?

Black on black crime is the issue kaeperdicks need to address and when that stat goes down,you will see change.

It has everything to do with why police correctly spend a disproportionate amount of time policing the black community. There is a disproportionate amount of crime there.
