ESPN is so freaking liberal anymore and accepting and supportive of trash like Kap, they got several trash like S.A. Smith rambling illogical and incoherent stupidity every time they open their mouths. They have a few announcers who are rational but they are few and far between anymore, its just sad.

Absolutely, and I don't think Kaepernick would disagree with that. I think there are still some problems though, especially with how we police, which is the crux of Kaepernick's stance.

Indeed. Me, I stand for the National Anthem, though I don't have much flag worship in me. It's just a piece of cloth to me, but I respect others that view it differently especially veterans of war. That's mainly why I stand up. But I understand Kaepernick's point and respect his right to choose to sit/kneel during its playing.
I watched their game last night and found it interesting the sideline reporter saying there were people in the crowd heckling and cussing at Kaepernick during the National Anthem. They're so angry at him over him disrespecting the flag/anthem, that they did it themselves.

They have equality and no oppression, when a criminal acts up and refuses to obey authority of any color they are opening themselves to up to negative consequences, lets disregard they have already opened themselves up by breaking the law. Yes there are police that should be police and are very bad at their jobs but police are authority figures and should be respected. This protest is illogical because of the very fact this county gives people of all colors opportunity and a chance to make millions or be successful. There is no oppression if one makes the right choices, you dont get shot by cops if you obey the law and listen to authority, make the right choices in life and there is no oppression. Breaking the law and getting roughed up by the law when you dont comply is not oppression that is what happens, but far too many people these days would rather point blame for their own circumstance than accept that most of their own success or failing is up to them and its not on anyone else but yourself, but clearly Kap is illogical since he has been given every opportunity and chance a person can have and is screaming oppression. Are there African Americans who havent been as lucky and are poor, yes....but there are millions of whites that live in the trailer park who are hindered by lack of success too, should they protest too??? It and his protest makes no sense, not everyone is going to have it good but no one is being oppressed, but in America the country he is disrespecting every time he takes a knee does offer hope and the chance at success if you make the right choices and work hard instead of whining and pointing blame at others for your own failings.

The one that says no black person could be a barber to white women or girls is surprising. I wonder if the word barber means man. I would have assumed that many black women did hair for white women back then.

Police are enforcing laws that Gov't passes. Most of the incidents that have happened, that they are so upset about, are happening in primarily Democratic strongholds for the past 40 or more years. Perhaps they should look at the people they are electing into office and the policies they have implemented. That would do more than disrespecting the flag, veterans and victims of terrorism on 9/11.

The entire idea that the flag is something far greater than a piece of cloth is what patriotism is about. This country is losing its identity because there are far too many people that want to say the flag is just a piece of cloth. Its an ideal and a belief and pride in ones country that this is about, the flag represents that. There is not oppression anymore that isn't self imposed, everyone has a chance if they work hard and make the right choices. Poor white kids that cant escape deep poverty i am sure feel oppressed, should they protest?, not everyone can be millionaires but everyone has that chance, an opportunity for success if they act right, make good choices and work hard. If oppression really existed, Obama wouldnt have been president, (although i wish he wouldnt have been), pro athletes would not be mostly African American, we wouldnt have successful musicians and actors who are of other races besides white. We have great politicians who are African American like Dr. Ben Carson, or Allen West, we wouldnt have senators, reps, or mayors who are African American if oppression truly existed. If your culture is to smoke dope and talk shite to cops and not act respectable and not seek an education you probably arent going to be very successful, plain and simple, its not oppression, that is just your own fault for your own failures at that point.

I assume you have never loaded a body bag, watch a buddy die before your eyes, sit in a jungle so dark you cannot see your hands in front of you, not eat a decent meal for 36 hours, think about your brother and sisters and know you will never see them again, no son you have no idea if you feel that way

I understand what their protest is about. What I don't understand is their method. Do they honestly believe that our country is backing what is going on?
You don't condemn everybody based upon the actions of the few.
I find it odd that some African-Americans in our country find it reprehensible that people lump all AA's in the same category as a few violent AA's......then lump all police officers in the same category because of the actions of a few. That doesn't seem just a bit off kilter to you?
