IIRC, Saban made some questionable decisions in that 4th quarter outside asking his kicker to kick a FG he didn't have a strong enough leg to make that led to the Kick 6.
It basically became a punt, except that he didn't have punt coverage personnel on the field. He had bulky linemen to protect against a blocked FG, with only the two guys on the outside who were athletic enough to cover. And instead of a punter, who actually practices getting a returner on the ground or out of bounds, you had a FG kicker and a holder who never practice it.

As the plains burn was on this board, correct?

I feel like one of them was late in the game him going for it on 4th in the red zone instead of kicking the short FG to give them a two score lead.
Yeah, it was 4th & inches and instead of just calling a QB sneak, he handed off to Yeldon who got stuffed. His kicker had already missed 3 FGs at that point though, and we'd been running the ball fairly well most of the game so I still think it was the right call to go for it. A 1st down there is ball game because there was only around 1:20 left in the game.
It was just a weird game all the way around and Auburn capitalized on almost every opportunity they had, while Bama did not.

Prayer @ Jordan Hare - Lucky for sure, but made up for a BS non-UGA touchdown earlier so feels fair to me.
Nope because refs missed a big time penalties on auburn on those 2 plays.

think the Auburn "luck" argument is often only viewed from one side.
They also scored with 1:00 left to go ahead in a BCS National Title Game but still lost.
They've lost 3 consecutive games to LSU by a combined total of just 8 points... all of which AU held a lead in the 2nd half.
Which of those outcomes deals with a freak stroke of luck?

All wins and losses are made up of "barely" not down or barely in bounds type plays. There are missed calls in every game all game long whether its a penalty or a turnover. Has Auburn been the beneficiary of a few? Sure. So has every other team. Get a grip...

Not really, and the timing matters. Each of these auburn calls have been on key plays late in the halves/games.

Auburn will be what they’ve always been; an 8-5 program historically, scrappy underdogs who live to “shock the world”, living under the shadow of their big brother 80 miles to the northwest, with the occasional every decade or so miracle season to keep up the delusion of being a blue blood. Their national championship* seasons - 53 years apart - were both won under the cloud of probation and/or the suspicion of cheating and paying for players. It is what it is.

Close games always seem to have “missed” calls or “bad” calls that favor the winning team.
It is what it is.

All these lucky wins and yet they're still going to finish 5-5 or worse.
As long as Auburn beat Alabama this year it will not matter!

The Les Miles gone game in 2016 came down to one play and one second to decide the fate of a head coach. If Malzahn loses he is likely out. If Les loses, well, he was out. A TD on the last play and one second too late cost Les his job, gave O the job, ended in a NC for LSU and left Aubie wondering even today when will Gus be gone. That officials decision changed the course of history. Would make a nice 30 for 30.

He steps into the college game and rides Darren McFadden to an opportunity at Auburn where Cam Newton carries him to a title and establishes him as an “offensive guru”. It really is amazing.

Imagine being proud that everyone else views your program as a joke and gives it zero respect.
