You're right. You have to win the SEC and a national championship first.

The next Auburn? So you don't want to have undefeated seasons, division and conference titles and a recent national title? I'm not sure you ever had to worry about that.

Honest question, when was the last time ATM won a championship of anything???

When have they ever left earth?
When is a 3rd place finish in the SEC West considered "not earth"?
When is just being in the top 10 considered the stratosphere?
You seem to be very much firmly planted on the earth now with JM.
Of course, I am an LSU fan, so I know what winning a championship feels like.

More to the point, this conference is unforgiving of bad decisions and bad hires ... regardless of recruiting.
They don't understand this yet. They had a good hire in Sumlin, a great QB in Manziel, and a REALLY easy schedule to start their SEC participation and it has gotten them a 3rd place finish in the West.
Ok.

Well looks like you're not used to this....I could list 5* qbs for days that have busted. Wasn't JFF a 3*?

They're a little giddy. They are so used to being in UT's shadow, that when they came to the SEC, It was as if they made a break from an abusive relationship. Their fans have little to go on when it comes to celebrating success. 3rd in the SEC is like a championship to them is my guess...

Notice how none of us have come in here to defend you or A&M? That's because this thread sucks. Grow some thicker skin.

Trey Williams will be a household name next year also.
Don't forget about Trey "Barry Sanders" Williams.

The real question is will he still be committed when Sumlin is at USC?

Big 12 South in '10, Big 12 in '98. Far too long and nobody GAF in the SEC.
Allen is a really nice prospect but the key for A&M is going to be how all the defensive recruits develop. JFF is great enough to overcome a crappy D but you can't expect that in the future. Sumlin will put together a solid to great offense with Allen or one of the other QB's committed or on campus but it takes a team.

The point of this thread is clear-A&M is going to remain a power long after Manziel.
I'm guessing this didn't go exactly like you hoped.
