re: For those that assume that Texas will separate themselves from Beard

I'll await judgment. Not because I like Beard or Texas or think he's likely to be getting screwed over, but it's pretty often these types of arrests are the product of a wild environment where a lot of stuff is going on.

See the Marcel Ozuna thing. I can go either way on him and if Beard did something like that then I could go either way as to whether he should be able to save his career, but that was deemed an egregious career ender/slam dunk. When the facts came out it was very much a "there's a lot of blame to go around and he probably wasn't the worst actor" thing.

Texas fans are delusional. Arkansas has 10 times the tradition and their fanbase loves basketball. 20k seat arena they sell out every game. Great instate recruiting. No way Musselman would leave for Texas. Texas fans can't even fill up their new 10k seat arena as a top 5 team.

He's almost certainly done at Texas unless some major mitigating factors are at play, like if he walked in on his daughter's boyfriend sexually assaulting her or something, but I seriously doubt he ever gets convicted of anything.
