People act like if you get hurt in the bowl game, your career is over. You’ll get drafted a little lower on the off chance you get seriously hurt.

People are also extremely cavalier about multi-million dollar careers. Pro careers aren't long and earning potential is a tight window. That million$ that gets lost will be a much bigger deal in 20-30 years

One guy I already didn't like is Ed Oliver. It was speculated he would join his HS teammate and play at Florida. OU was in his top 5 as well, and it came right down to the wire. Bama also.

What does he do?

He knows he's a badass and it won't matter where he plays college. So he stays home to eat momma's home cookin, then sits out on his team's bowl game for the draft.

he's been out for a month. Search for the video of the HC running him off the sidelines a few weeks ago

It's one more game, not a full season. Do you think he's the only guy on that LSU team that's had it tough growing up, so he couldn't play for his TEAM MATES...the guys in the foxhole with him who worked their asses off to have a successful season? Aside from injury, there's NO excuse for bailing on your team, your coaches, your fans and your school. It's bullshite, and you can bet your arse that the NFL scouts will look hard at a guy who shows NO loyalty to his team, and will cut and run at the first chance.

It's an annual LSU tradition
