Umm..last time I checked we beat y'all.

We won.

Y'all lost.

Us >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> y'all.

See how that works?

Try not to embarrass us all by losing to a shitty Big 12 team like last year.

Yeah Purdue being taken screwed us on MCB. TBH, I have way more of an issue with the opponent than the Liberty itself. Such a boring draw.

It's a respectable game against a barely respectable opponent. But they are at least a P5 program. I get that. Missouri was a solid, if not elite, team this year. I'll give y'all this much -- you exceeded expectations and quietly went about becoming one of the SEC's better teams. But this happens to a few teams every year. Once a team isn't in the top 4 or so of their conference (and Mizzou is tied for 6th in overall record among SEC programs), they have a chance to play other teams that are considered mid-tier overall. That is, a mediocre P5 team is usually, though not always, considered a more "respectable" matchup than a good G5 one. It's a better draw, generally speaking.

I don't blame y'all for being a little put out, but it could be worse. I'd hypothesize that maybe y'all went about it a little too quietly. You went mostly below the radar even here on the Rant, a place dedicated specifically to discussing the SEC, until near the end of the season.

We didn’t handle it on the field. We eke out a win at SC or at home versus Kentucky (really just needed one play in either game) and it’s a vastly different season by national perception.

Upsets happen. That doesn’t mean a team is better than another team. It just means there was an upset.

I hate to ask but can you pick me up a liberty bowl t-shirt. There maybe others who would like a t-shirt. Could you start a list so fellow ranters could sign if they desire a t-shirt?

How is this the SECs fault?

SEC places teams in the group of 6 bowls.

Mizzou probably should be in the Belk with USCe in the Liberty.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, they ain't gots that fanbase Pawwwwl!

By end do you mean last 30 minutes as you racked up those big 49 yards?

I do think they have improved but what does the SEC have to go on? Same conference record and USC won the head to head. Mizzou got the bowl they earned. Seems to me that they should be mad at their coach for allowing lesser teams to beat them, not the conference if they are disappointed in their bowl game. If they wish to go to a better bowl than Cocky, then perhaps they should beat them on the field.

The truth here is that the SEC and the MCB let a 6-6 Purdue team dictate who the SEC sent to the bowl.

Eh.
Music City versus Liberty.
Eh.

We should’ve won more games.

You’re not wrong if course, but nobody here is going to give a shite.

It’s really less about the bowl and more about playing a 6-6 Big 12 school we already beat in a recent bowl
