No, I am asking you to tell me what SEC rule LSU broke that warrants a vote to expel them.
Or are you implying the SEC should just be able to do this whenever they want when a member does not violate SEC rules? That's really the type of league you want?

The SEC is trying to challenge the direction college sports have been taking and this is the best opportunity.
This isn’t about the “sanctity of the sport” or “amateur athletes”.
If the SEC cannot get control of the situation now, as the NCAA couldn’t, they know it will be their end in the next decade.
There is no control by any governing bodies.
Everything is controlled by random courts.

It seems like a lot of the problem is their rules contradict actual law and selective enforcement has also been a problem.
It's what sunk the NCAA and will eventually sink the conferences.

What you are asking is not a requirement for them to vote LSU out.
Again, I've said it multiple times - I do not think LSU will be kicked out. I think these are warning shots.
I'm merely entertaining the idea for the purpose of debate and to understand the situation.

It’s being appealed and a motion to dissolve/vacate the injunction have been filed. It might go away, or it might not. Either way, the case in Louisiana is far from over.

So what is the SEC's reason for having this vote?
There is no coming back from a vote or consideration of a vote of a chartered member for something that didn't actually happen.
