For all the Daniels Heisman talk IMHO it’s a pipe dream.

He’s not playing in a conference championship game. With the short news cycle his name will be forgotten completely by Dec 4th, the deadline for Heisman ballots. Recency bias heavily favors those who shine in Conference Championship game. On top of that, LSU has a bad habit of checking out early, prior to the A&M games. That happens this year and …..well it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out.

You're exactly right. The modern Heisman winner should at least be a conference division champion if not the conference champion and also his team should be positioned to be in the playoffs. No one's even going to remember his name a month from now.

Daniels will have to continue to play the way he has played in every game this year. I haven’t seen any Tiger fans that didn’t agree with that. Their goals have obviously shifted from previous seasons when we were sitting at 3 losses. Malik could very well win the top receiver award and Daniels is obviously playing for a Heisman. The team is playing for a 10 win season, but that will be the biggest hurdle with our shite defense

Should be only 1 criteria. Is he the best player in college football or not? He’s not the best player in the SEC.

Brady Cook does pretty good with a lot less of a supporting cast.
