Is Brian Kelly going to have two four-loss seasons to start his tenure? The last LSU coach to do that was Curly Hallman in 1991 and 1992. Tying a record that stood for thirty years is impressive.

I don't. LSU has the perfect coach. Perennial 9-3 record with a huge guaranteed contract. If he leaves LSU might actually get someone who can win a championship.

Then why did ND just out-recruit LSU. Maybe Kelly's just not that great of a recruiter, which is the death knell when you are competing against Bama, Georgia, and Texas every year.

They didn't?
Both 247 and On3 have LSU ahead of Notre Dame.
Notre Dame is ahead of LSU in the 247 Composite mostly because Rivals has them ranked higher but Rivals also says Texas outrecruited Alabama.
And there's still a month until signing day...
