Interesting...article states that UGA had a net average decrease of 71 fans from its full capacity of 92,746.

However, another chart about 2021 stadium fill capacity percentage reflects UGA @100%. Somewhat conflicting, but a minor consideration.

Hell I live a mile from the stadium at Arkansas, and the crowds, traffic (hiking over massive hills) makes it where I usually hit only one or two games per year.

Of course, being a local, tickets tend to just fall in your lap occasionally. Now that they are all electronic, someone can text you tickets a few hours before the game and you can go.

I usually only pay for a couple baseball and basketball games per year. I get freebies to those, too.

Tv's at the house are getting too good. I can do all the same party stuff at my house with better food and better bathrooms, more space

it's been said over and over again but let's just say it again in all caps

COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS A BLUE COLLAR SPORT FOR BLUE COLLAR FANS WHY DO THE PRICES ALL SEEM SET SO THAT ONLY RICH PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO GO?

Depends on the fanbase. There are a lot of non-blue collars fans. Most university alumni aren't blue-collar.

My 4 seats in the stadium are 24k a year.2 parking spaces 100 feet from stadium.Used to have 30-40 people at our tailgate. Down to about 16 now as people just rather stay home. Al, Ga, and LSU games get a few back but thats
about it.

Wow. I had four club level seats at State from 2001 but gave them up in 2015. Haven't been to more than a couple games a season since. Just too easy to watch on TV, and I'm saving a bunch. Nothing close to what you are spending, but still a lot to me.

Because of that, my Bulldog Club priority has dropped from #500 to over #1100. Oh well. When I do go, I park in town now and take a free shuttle to the stadium.

Stopped going to basketball games too around when we fired Stansbury. Went to some women's bb games when MSU had good women's teams a few years ago.

----> Once you stop going for whatever reason, it becomes easy to not go. I believe the pandemic will also cause some of that. Sure, many people went in 2021 because they were excited cfb was back, but I expect another decrease in attendance in 2022.

I do have baseball season tickets since State opened up the new Dudy Noble. Make a lot of baseball games. LOVE the new stadium.

No one wants to watch the same two teams play for the championship every year, but that's just about where it is.

This is how CFB has ALWAYS been. Think about Alabama when Bear Bryant was here.

You just root for Auburn, a traditional loser.

As far as game attendance, it reminds me of housing costs on the West Coast. It makes no sense. Demand is going down, but the prices continue to soar.

I know that place was full and loud when we played there last season, we couldn’t get a snap off because of the noise.

We would have lost anyway probably, but that crowd made a huge difference.

Good job, reminds me of how our crowd was against texas.

Problem started when the schools decided to squeeze every dollar out of the game day experience.

The cost of attending games continues to skyrocket. This isn't surprising.

The costs are a factor but for me the hassle factor is just as prominent. Standing line 15-20 minutes to buy a coke or popcorn or take a leak is a pain. Parking and game traffic are a hassle. Couple that with idiotic fans that complain you stand too much or cheer too loud and I choose to stay home a lot. I used to go to almost every home game and 1 away game a year but I have lost my enthusiasm. I now only go to 1 or 2 games a year.

Ole Miss posted its first 10-win regular season. There shouldn't be any surprise that the combination of success and the colorful Lane Kiffin led to 8,239 more fans in the stands per game (third-highest increase nationally).

yep I 100% agree. I think though College AD's have made their bed and decided that the rich crowd is who they want and they will give them any amenity possible to get them there. They clear out seats for new boxes, etc.

If any program could convert their entire stadium seating to one large luxury box for Elon Musk and get paid $100 million to do it, they would. Money is ruining the game...been that way awhile... just accelerating the last couple of years. Players should play for the full ride scholarship and coaching salaries should be capped at $1 million a year, plus incentives for actually winning. Any early buyout is 2 year's base salary...so $2 million max. Ticket prices would then come down... it's insane face values for some games are well over $100.

As for actually attending vs watching on TV... nothing beats being there in the atmosphere, and I have a 100 inch HD setup, BUT there are limits... biggest factors for me on attending vs TV:

1. Quality of opponent
2. Parking
3. Kickoff time

Bama has upgraded the future home OOC schedules... which is great...but I'm not going to a September afternoon game no matter who they're playing. Brutal heat usually. All September games should be at night...but I know TV has to fill time slots.
