Hopefully it doesn't come down to a field goal. I think the game will be won between the UF offense vs. UT defense. UF's defense vs. UT's offense will balance each other out.

After watching our offense flounder against BG, then show some more of the play book against aTm, do you feel like we'll be more of a test for your D than some initially may have thought?

I'm still uneasy about the run defense. Even though Lathers and Maggitt (LBs) are supposed to play, they're still banged up. We had some serious trouble defending a slant last week as well. The big play will still be there for Florida at times this Saturday, question is can they capitalize.

This, I will agree with.

Let me provide the counter-point. Yes. Florida can run the ball, and it seems to me (but correct me if I'm wrong) that they like to run off-tackle or to the outside which has been problematic for us. Driskell can throw when he needs to, but I'm more worried about Gillislee than I am about Driskell.

Plus Florida's defense is the real deal. They made brilliant adjustments at the half and had no problems with TAMU afterward. Now we can throw it better than TAMU can, but it's still a hell of a matchup.

That's why this game should be a good one. Florida's defense is significantly better than its offense. Tennessee's offense is significantly better than its defense.

But, and here is where it gets interesting, does Florida still have the mental edge? It took Tennessee a quarter to get going against Georgia freakin' State. If we come out flat for this game like we did against GSU, then we will fall behind early, and we haven't shown an ability to come from behind in years. I worry mightily about Tennessee crapping the bed like they usually do against Florida the way Kentucky used to against us (until, of course, they broke through last year). Some years Kentucky was clearly the better team but always managed to find new and creative ways to lose. That's what scares me most about this game.

If it comes down to a field goal, we'll probably lose. If it comes down to an extra point, I'll be holding my breath.

Yeah, I think UF's offense will be able to run on us. How much is the question.

Vols. Gator's defense looked soft last week vs a freshman QB making his first start ever. Granted Manziel will be a good one, and UF made great halftime changes, but I think Braysus will do enough in the first half to put the game out of reach for the Gator's anemic offense.

UT by 7.

I'm going to admit I'm having a hard time telling how good both teams are. I'm afraid that our run game will kill us again.

I'm not sure how much we have left to show on offense. I know Pease has more but I'm not sure how much he has been able to install thus far.

I hope the slant is included based on your observations though. lol

Jed's opinions are tainted by his hate so I don't take much from what he says.

I think it'll be a good game if we can pressure Bray into some bad throws and run the ball well.

I'm cautiously optimistic like last year when be both sucked.

Neither of us knew we sucked at that point though. We may both suck again this year. Too early to tell.

49 yards given up in the second half. Quinn didn't have any tape of aTm. I think once they got some time to make it right they did a fine job.

Our DL eventually handled their all world OL fairly well.

Soft though? You are a UF hater so I guess that's par for the course.

Jenkins and Riggs are out.. so that can't hurt for us.

Wish they were healthy though.

True I suppose. I have no idea. There are too many ifs in this one for my taste. I wouldn't touch it betting.

Me. Either. I have seen this movie too many times.

I have an old friend who always bets $100 on Florida, because hey, if Tennessee wins, he'll pay $100 for a win over the Gators. But if they lose, money. So he's probably rich by now.

I just hope there isn't an injury either way. I want both teams to be at full strength. I'm not going to say Hunter "not" getting hurt would have made a difference, but I wrote the team off after that play and it seemed like the team wrote themselves off as well.

I'm not optimistic what-so-ever. There is a 7 game winning streak for a reason...UT just struggles with Florida. The chances are better than they have been, but still, I'm nervous as hell.
