I wonder if they got the maximum fines after the AU game. I do not remember reading anything about it.

Fines will be determined after the season ends. First offense(game) is a warning, 2nd is a fine, 3rd = bigger fine, 4th = highest fine. This is similar to the fines of rushing the playing surface.

Give us a break, its a freaking tradition and we have alumni/boosters that will GLADLY pay the maximum fines.

I know and that makes the fines pretty meaningless. I am glad MSU is getting better I hope you guys upset bama this year.

But the bells are pretty annoying.

Is the game in Gainesville? If so, then they should be confiscated. The SEC rule amendment for artificial noisemakers applies only to the games played in Starkville. I never said anything about allowing them to bring cowbells to the 4 SEC away games. So strictly by letter of the SEC rule book, UF is enforcing the no artificial noisemaker rule.

That being said, as large as BHGS is, and the low percentage of MSU fans to overall fans, I can't believe they would make enough noise to really impact the game even if they did it non stop from kickoff to final whistle.

Yeah so I should have curb stomped some 20 year drunk kid because he rung a bell in my face while outside a football stadium? Sorry bro I am not losing my commission in the Marines to beat up a kid with a cowbell.

I would have liked to punch out a many LSU fans who ran up to me yelling Tiger Bait and acting a fool, but I didnt. Its called SELF CONTROL. When you go to road games in the SEC you have a target on your back by some fans. You just have to be above those stupid fans.

I can assure you that guys like the 20 year old bell ringer you mentioned are a LARGE minority at MSU games.

So is it legal for me, as an Ole Miss fan, to bring in an artificial noisemaker at Miss State?

That is why I didn't do anything. I just kept walking forward, but MSU fans were really big shite talkers to the Auburn fans standing in line for the tiger walk.

Sure you can be a jackass if you wish. Newsflash, nobody is going to try to take their cowbell to an away game. Sure a few people will but who really gives a shite about a couple people. If they ring a cowbell around a bunch of gator fans, the problem will take care of itself.

I wonder why. Maybe it's because you guys decided it would be a good idea to have a tiger walk at an away game. That's asking for shite talkers.

That's what I was thinking. I wouldn't want to be one of the few in a 90,000 people stadium ringing a bell and drawing attention to myself. Guess that's just me though...

Its been going on for 20 years now. Plus there were MSU student trying to bust through all of the lines so they had to put cops in the area.

My experience at the 2008 Egg Bowl says otherwise, though y'all had nothing to ring about.

Could I get a temporary insanity plea for that?

This

I went to the game at Houston this past weekend and VERY FEW fans had cowbells. I left mine at home b/c I flew, but others who drove just dont bring them due to the fact they dont want to be hastled.

Georgia

You guys are acting as if Georgia ia on the same level as Vandy or Kentucky. They have tons of talent, but they are just having a bad year. We beat them, and some of their fans on here are pissed about cowbells and posted about it.
