texas wanted to go PAC12 in 2012, failed. Then wanted to go BIG in 2017, failed. horns burned the SWC, then dismantled the BIG12. Horns don’t belong here either, will never fit in the culture of the SEC.

Not even in the conference and believe you know about 20 year old back room agreements. Nice. Everyone involved in those agreements has moved on and they were never binding. No coach nor AD is in power from those agreements and the landscape has changed.
If you don’t believe it, just remember that Texas was always a package deal with TAMU and a couple other Texas schools but TAMU ignored it to leave and now Texas is ignoring it to leave. That was the logic behind why Texas wasn’t in the big 10 or PAC 10 last expansion wave.

The landscape is rapidly shifting and it looks like the ACC might survive as a basketball only conference, but it is inevitably looking like Virginia southwest to Austin, TX will be part of the "SEC" and Tech will be back in if they don't pull a Pacific or Sewanee and pull back all or most athletics.
Who knows what an SEC schedule will look like with 20-30 schools...
