They think they should have won that game. They don’t think they should have won the LSU game, hence the Florida game, which was the first game of the year, kept them out of the SECCG.

Moorhead is objectively a better offensive coordinator than Mullen. No question. He is more intelligent than Mullen, and fits in to the MSU culture better.

I realized today that UF, more than any other SEC school, has inspired a lot of intense butthurt across the SEC the last couple of years. We can even break it down by fanbase:

MSU fans: Butthurt because UF stole their coach they were convinced was staying

USC fans: Butthurt when UF fans kept saying Coach Boom was a terrible hire

UK fans: Butthurt that UF never stepped up to become a basketball power and a real rival like seemed possible when they were winning national titles

LSU fans: super butthurt about that whole hurricane and rescheduled game thing

UGA fans: Butthurt that UF fans aren't giving them enough recognition for their current rise

Tenn fans: Butthurt that what gets coaches fired at UF (aka multiple SEC East titles) is beyond what their current program can achieve

Bama fans: a little butthurt that they aren't a good rival in the East anymore and they ruined a favorite former Bama OC

Mizzou fans: butthurt about something but I can't figure it out. Maybe UF fans are the ones that stole their rocks

A&M fans: I am still sore that the 2012 UF loss kept us out of the SEC Championship game

Ole Miss fans: butthurt that UF can have a terrible corrupt program for years (Urban) and the NCAA doesn't do shite

And finally UF fans: butthurt because they don't think MSU's former coach is a good enough recruiter

AU fans don't give a frick because UF couldn't even beat AU with Tebow!!!

I've got them as a clear number 1 for off-season champ at the moment. My rankings aren't based on mere fluff either.

The reality that we have hired an even better coach? I can't wait for that to set in either.

Look, Mullen did some great things for the MSU program, but he didn't do them alone. First, we changed ADs, hiring Greg Byrne and getting rid of the old guard power guys who were basically holding MSU back. Then Byrne hired Mullen, and together they convinced the big power boosters to open up the purse strings and give Mullen everything he needed. New facilities, new priorities, new buy in from the fans, etc.

Yeah, his team was ranked #1 for five weeks, but they ended the season with three embarrassing losses, followed by one of his worst recruiting classes ever.

Mullen got the program pointed the right direction, and now someone who really knows X's and O's can be successful here.

You are really trying hard to convince yourself like most MSU fans.

Y’all are winning the offseason championship by accident

It's official, y'all are being bigger babies about Mullen than we ever were about Urban.

Moorhead COULD end up being a better HC than Mullen. Who knows. He has 0 HC experience at the FBS level though and it's ridiculous to say that at this point. #Butthurt

It will be refreshing to have a coach who actually coaches the entire season instead of whoring his name out every October and November. They will find out when a Notre Dame or Michigan or OSU-type job comes open what Mullen is like. He will do the same to them.

Moorhead actually turned down more money and told Cohen to spend it on assistants. Mullen can’t even conceive of that level of humility.

The only thing that made me uncomfortable with him leaving this year was because of depth. Looking back now, I wouldn't change nothing. The Moorhead hire took away all my concerns.

I don’t really care how nice of a guy the coach is, either win or gtfo, congrats on your coach with humility.
