Not likely.
The conference is much different today than it was then.
UGa wasi't much of a factor in the East so it was just UF and the Vols.
The West was pretty weak overall with no dominant teams.
Spurriers offense was new, exciting and he had superior talent.
Other than Bama there is much more parity now than in the 90s. Just look at the recruiting rankings.

UF also had to face a monster FSU as well. That cost us a title or two.

Then the back up, that is known far and wide for not being a great passer, comes in and dominates with his arm.
As an underclassmen. He was a much improved passer this year. You also discount our injuries and youth when he came in. We had multiple true freshmen on the field. Best pass rusher was hurt. Best ILB didn’t play at all.

they were fumbling-
Yes, so? It was To their benefit. Fumbles aren’t bad if you recover it forward. They scored a td on a fumble, and They got a key first down after a fumble, so it led to 14 points for bama, which was the difference. Those were huge breaks against uga. To add to it, Our very dependable kicker even missed an easy kick. Bama wasn’t the only team making mistakes or hurting.

Delusional. He hadn’t ran around fine since the LSU game.
His running stats in his final 2 regular season games:
8 carries for 63 yards

Saban and Bama are great and there’s no shame in losing, but there’s nothing to take as a moral victory from that game
This is all you should take from that game, and you said it yourself:

I was impressed with Georgia in the game

UF’s roster isn’t in the same class with UGA’s.

You sure? They have 9 top 100 players.

Regardless if they were down 2-3 players on defense and their running back
You don't think this changes an entire game?

Defensive lineman Rashan Gary, linebacker Devin Bush Jr., running back Karan Higdon and offensive lineman Juwann Bushell-Beatty will all miss the bowl game, deciding instead to focus on the NFL Draft.
So they were without a top DL, RB, LB, and OL. That can more than affect the outcome of a game, just saying.

And saying that game means nothing just isn’t true
In the modern era of college football. The bowl game doesn't mean as much to the players. They are either in it for the championship, or the top players are not going to play and risk injury. It's just the way it is now.

And we did what we were supposed to do and beat their fricking brains in. Next.

They play 14-15 games a year. As fans, we want to win all of them. As competitors, the ones that play want to win all of them. Losing a game because you don’t want to be there should not be an excuse. It’s a loser’s mentality, and it’s infected your program to the point that it is partly to blame for why Georgia hasn’t won a national title in 40 years.

UG is a bump in the road to the Gators again winning championships, Bama is the roadblock. Beating them is the ultimate goal.
That seems pretty obvious. But, if I were a Gator fan, I would concentrate on beating Georgia first.

You won 2 nattys in the 2000's and 1 in the 90's.
Spurrier was a great coach, but he only won 1 national championship and played for another.Les Miles did the same thing and Spurrier called him a dummy.

Those top 15 recruiting classes sure have the UF fanbase riled up, their O-line is a complete shitshow and 3rd and Grantham is still calling the shots on D. UGA has just brought in the 3 best recruiting classes in program history and have landed 15 5 stars over that period to the Gators nilch. It certainly is good to dream, keep the hope alive.
