Not sure why this even deserves a thread. Everyone here knows UF has been the best bball program in the SEC since 2000. Only UK fans would try to argue that.

Funny for you to call out Mike White having “mostly bad years.” He did more than Pope and Gillespie.

We’re just going to stop right here if you’re pimping Mike White’s one Elite Eight in 7 years at Florida.

Maybe you should have the seat.

Facts are facts. Pope nor Gillispie made it past the sweet 16.

It’s not pimping. Mike White sucked, but still did better than those two coaches.

Pope is only in his second year, with a Sweet 16 in his first season. I’d hope someone could get at least an Elite Eight in almost a decade at a school.

Again, nice try.

Where's the irony? We have more than just one spot. And have won 6 national titles in the time period of this topic. In fact, we won one of them last year

Are you including baseball in the six?

Also, Florida has been superior to UK this century, but FAR superior might be a stretch. Kentucky owns the H2H, and has won more SEC titles, but Florida has been a monster in the tournament. That said, take the five-year period away from Kentucky, and they have ZERO FF's.

Either way, Florida > Kentucky, and the gap is likely to widen. If the Gators repeat this year, we can say FAR superior, because the tournament holds more weight.

Kentucky would trade 37 of those wins for 2 National Championships
you'd have to ask the KY fans - but 37-21 UK series lead this century doesn't in any way speak to FLA being far superior to KY -

You call playing Arizona, Duke and UConn all on the road, easy?

The SEC schedule has been easier than expected, but who knew that most of the SEC would suck this year in basketball.
