Maybe by default, but Dan Mullen will be more successful at Florida than Chip (scared) Kelly would have been.
A solid hire with big time upside.
Should have beaten Saban with MS talent.

I think the safer coach. Kelly had more upside possibly he is a freak college coach. Still. I'm watching old replays of our offense when Dan was here...making me excited as hell

Yeah but his teams consistently play to the level of their opponent, which has an ugly side as striking as its good side.

Plus competition for Florida talent is at an all time high.

I don't expect great things any time soon.

I don;t know if he'll turn out to be a Spurrier or Meyer, but he will definitely be better than Zook, Muschamp, or Butterteeth.

Obviously two sides to that coin, but he has the potential to have some success at UF.

It was a simpler time. When the only (on field) problems to bitch about were our All-American PR/KR only scoring a half dozen TDs due to flags or our 7+ ypc RBs getting run down from behind after 30 or 40 yard runs.

Depends on the D. Not sure what Florida has coming back on that side but just ask any AU fan this year if it's Gus's offense or Steele's defense that made them successful this year. That's one of the best defenses AU has had in a long time. Front 7 is the best in the nation. Back end isn't to shabby either.

I agree. Florida would've been a lot better off getting Mullen over Kelly, and they got him. Good for them.

Mullen when he has a QB that can run tough between the tackles s tough to stop. Don't think Franks is that, but once he gets that kind of player UF will be a bitch to deal with.

Don't know about four years.

We have a top tier recruit coming in a QB.
Have two really good freshman RB's.
Have talent at receiver when they aren't injured because Nord didn't care about his S&C program

Piece in place to do well first year, building year of course. I see around 9-4 type year first year. Second year we should see a pretty strong team on the field.

75%(ish) of our defensive playmakers were Freshman and Sophomores this past season...

Honestly our D worries me greatly with the 3-4 scheme.

We are mighty weak at LBer.

We do have a huge DT to run the middle though. So that will work out at least.
